Does anyone live near stanmore or watford in hertfordshire (England) because lastnite (13th january) there were some pretty bright lights about four altogether that stuck around for more than half n hour after 5. Anyone see? they moved once to rearrange position?

I live in hatfield hertsfordshire, Two nights ago i saw strange lights at 18:47, i live directly under lutons flight path however, their were other aircraft in the sky at the time, and the lights i saw were not aircraft. Can you give me a description of the lights? I.E color, shape, brightness...?

They looked like ordinary stars apart from really REALLY f**king bright white and they didnt move they just stayed in the same place like they were fixed, there were 3 together and they moved once to rearrange slighty after half n hour or me stareing then one appared on its own but i went to my mates house by then so when i came out i looked for it again but didnt see it i was in my mates house for 10mins at most.

there were also planes about but you could see the differance blatently.

A quick tip for future posting revengeful: Break up your sentences like you are taught in english, one continous sentence makes the reader miss certain points.

On the sighting: Sounds strange, some *possible* explanations are:
1. Aircraft, police helicopter maybe.
2. Actual stars
3. Metoers

For the most part they are unidentifiable. If you see them again can you PM (private message) me? The ones i saw were bright extremely fast moving blobs of orange light (i have seen metoers up close and i can say they definately were not meteors).

i was woundering if anyone here that has had a sighting has noticed what i have on several occasions the last time being in december of 96 i believe it was that the objects had the same hue as street lights that of a dull orange.i am a truck driver and live in las vegas and have seen socalled ufo's several times. the most impresive was that in 96 outside the test site between vegas and the utah border.interestingly the big sighting in phoenix was march i believe of 97 and was abit like what i witnessed but not quite.

Enuki, perhaps you could try submitting it to the "sightings database". We were discussing sightings in england....however you could start your own thread to see if anyon has seen them, its more likely you will get a response.

oooh, i live in hertrodshire, i'll have to keep an eye out for these lights, PM if you notice any, im usually online all the time. see if i can see them from round my way

There is a large RAF base at Stanmore, I think theres a few in Herts!

Jimmi there might be an airbase or what ever but these lights r not plains because they stay perfectly still for about 20mins or so then they move sightly and stay stuck again? next time i have cash (like never ) il try to get a pic if i see it again?

Jimma i wasn't aware of RAF stanmore, i'll look it up, but it wasn't on my list. O_o;; I must have missed it.

Apparently its marked down for greater london district, i think the hospital remains, however the airstrip is probably non operational.
