They start doing experiments on you that leave no physical evidence on your body, after a few hours they decide to return you to your bed. There are no witnessess to the situation. You know it happened but how do you prove it.

I'd visit my Dr. If she couldn't find anything physically wrong, I'd get a referral to see a psychiatrist. If he/she said I was mentally stable (which is highly unlikely) I'd write a book, like Whitley Streiber, and make some money off of it. wink2.gif

          Here is the first problem:

          A.
How do you know it was "real" and not just a very "vivid Lucid Dreams". How many times has it been stated with very vivid dreams, "But damn, it seemed so real!!" But it was just a dream - nothing more and nothing less.

The human error factor, despite some who would argue other wise, cannot be 'just dis-missed'.

Look at these - > Actual real pictures of cuts, bruises (from a verifiable injection) and 'blisters'that happened literally over night. Was I abducted? I don't know, in that I have no proof of 'who/what' did these things to my body -- only that they happened.

          Link #01
          Link #02

Now I've had people tell me, "Jj - you were abducted by ET-Aliens! These marks and such prove it!!" One even went so far at to tell me, "It was the "Nordics"".

The funny thing is - how do they know this when I don't and I was "there"!! blink.gif

So what you are asking is totally in the HYPOTHETICAL REALM - and to be honest ---> No one knows what they'd do if they were honest. Hell, I don't even know what I would do.

One thing I would suggest, though - Has this person been reading a lot of "UFO" - "ET-Alien" and "Abduction" books, stories and chats? If so - I will and have proven this, it will follow what they 'fed' their minds with and was nothing more then a dream based on the focal point of the "mind feeding". <-- This is very easily proven if the person is honest and really wanting truthful answers.

Skeptic ... Jj (Who else were you expecting?? ET??? His price for an apperance was to much $$$) wink2.gif

LOL Eric, you are just too much. Ok answer me this, humor me if you will for a minute. One night you wake up out of a sound sleep, and hear loud bangs in your home. Of course your first thought would be an intruder, so in order to protect your family, you get out of bed armed and dangerous to check doors etc. As you slowly walk down the hallway, you hear a voice, so wait to call 911 or maybe you do with your cell. As you get closer, you see your deceased Aunt Thelma, standing there, all pale, shallow and black eyes but she is rather transparent. With a disembodied voice she says "stop this NOW or get out." This of course isnt real to you at the moment, then you realize she is really standing there. You scream to the old woman to get out of your home and leave you alone. The police arrive, what do you say? Your wife wakes up stating she felt very cold, and heard a voice in her ear, and is horrified. The cops cannot find an intruder and no forced entry, and look at you like you are a moron and leave. Honestly, what would you do? Who would you call? Who would you tell? How would you and your wife explain this to your children who woke up hearing such loud sounds, and a scary voice? JN

I would think to myself "My suspicions were correct".

Actually as a side note to this topic, I was reading a quantitative study on the abduction experience. The US has the highest recorded UFO sightings in the world, followed closely by Mexico and other parts of South America. It went on to add that 1 Million Americans believe they have been adbucted, yet in the second highest sighting country, the UFO abduction phenomenon is non existent.

And who says popular culture and scary movies doesn't screw us up?

One NIGHT I had a nightmare that was so real... I dreamt that I was abducted by aliens and taken to a space ship (although that's an assumption) where the aliens performed experiments on me that left no physical evidence on my body, after what seemed a few hours I was returned to my bed. Since I don't have any visible scars, that proves it was a dream. Boy, I better stay away from Mexican restaurants prior to going to bed. Where's the bathroom? Ay, ay, ay! I gotta tell someone 'cause it was really "real" and makes a good tale.

Now, let's change the scenario. Let's make it daytime when you are awake either involved in an activity or just hanging around but consciously awake, not daydreaming or in a drowsy state. It ain't gonna happen.

Well maybe,... But that happens to be exactly when UFO/UAP sightings happen to people (Day or night, awake and often in groups) so what does that tell us?

Maybe that seeing strange objects is a reality while "abductions" are likely quite BOGUS as real life experiences.

Well.. I could relate it with many things. Proposed psychological alternative explanations of the abduction phenomenon have included hallucination, temporary schizophrenia, epileptic seizures and parasomnia—near-sleep mental states (hypnogogic states, night terrors and sleep paralysis). Sleep paralysis in particular is often accompanied by hallucinations and peculiar sensation of malevolent or neutral presence of "something," though usually people experiencing it do not interpret that "something" as aliens. Occasionally the abduction phenomenon is also theorized to be a confused memory of past events (such as sexual abuse).

Especially criticised as unreliable is frequent reliance on hypnosis. It has been demonstrated that false memories are often very easily created, and that hypnosis can unintentionally aid in confabulation. Some abductees, however, report vivid, detailed accounts without hypnosis.

Skeptics argue that the raw details of abduction accounts have been featured in science fiction since at least the 1930s, and that these details have had widespread currency, thereby influencing and shaping expectations of what an encounter with extraterrestrials might entail. For example, a 1935 issue of Amazing Stories featured on its cover an illustration of a being with large eyes and a large head who was restraining a human from entering a room where another human was reclined on a table with another large-eyed creature examining her.
              Belle.
BTW I once worked with someone in real estate whose worse fear was being abducted by aliens and probed, but anyways I would probably turn feral, live in the desert and pick up hitchhikers and freak them out by my stories. alien.gif

              gtars
Here is the problem.. You want to "prove" it to someone else. That is the problem to your situation. People are naturally skeptical until it happens to them. We will have to believe that that is not going to happen. Now you have a world full of skeptics that you want to convince but you have nothing to convince them with. In order to fix the problem, you have to get over the "prove it" syndrome. If you were abducted and weren't having a vivid dream, then you have to get comfortable in your own mind on what actually took place and get over the "prove it" scenario. You will never be able to convince them no matter how much you want to. Realize that you are dealing with something that most people do not want to accept as a reality in their cushy safe little world.
Everyone's worst nightmare is the loss of control. Everyone believes that they are safe from all intrusion in their warm and comfortable beds at night. When you tell people that something came into your house while you were in your "safe-warm" bed and whisked you away in the dead of the night and took you to some other place and later brought you back, you are hitting them right between the eyes and making them believe that just maybe their safe zone could be invaded. People do not want to think that their "safe" place is vulnerable to attack, and especially by aliens. For this reason, they won't accept what you are saying. You will have to come to grips on what took place and be comfortable with it in your own mind. Don't try to convince those that don't want to lose their comfort zones. If it bothers you, then you can contact Budd Hopkins, and he can work with you to resolve your experience. Trying to convince the people around you will only bring you misery. Just analyze what you went through, and write out all you can remember, and work with someone in the field that is serious about the subject. Working with non-believers will only further your frustration. Good luck!
