i was just wondering why Joseph Jesus father never gets any recognition, and why do you think that is. he was the one who at the beginning kept Mary and Jesus safe, also excepted the fact that Mary would carry Jesus and did everything for them to aid Gods plan. Just wondering.

Chrisitians are divided about devotion to saints. Protestants are typically unenthusiastic about saints, except possibly matyrs, so Joseph is treated the same as many others.

In contrast, Roman Catholics like saints. Joseph is well regarded among Catholics, frequently depicted in art, has churches named after him, etc. He can't complain .

Mary is a pivotal figure in a way that her husband is not. She is Jesus' link to humanity, while Joseph is but one helper among many. Mary was also active in the Jesus movement, if the scriptures are to be believed. Joseph had apparently departed by the time of the crucifixion, for instance, while Mary is a witness.

And, of course, women are magic, while men are simply along for the ride.

Yes, Zombie Jesus, Joe bought the paternity story, which if you think about it is a model of faith in general. Not my taste nor yours, evidently, but that is what churches sell.
