So, someone had this website in a previous post. One evening in July of 2001 (I don't remember the exact day), I saw a couple of UFOs (as in, unidentified things in the sky). I recorded this in a journal I had (I don't keep a diary or anything, but at the time it felt weird enough to write down) but I'd thought they were just spots from the sun or really big stars or something, though their glow was more muted. This was after the sun had gone down, but there was still light in the sky. We were coming home from my cottage near Fort Erie/Port Colborne area, and as we were driving on the highway my friend spotted the things - three glowing, short streaks in the sky that disappeared less than a minute after we spotted them. They did not appear to be moving, from my memory. A few minutes after that, there was a big, red star outside my window over the water (highway runs along one of the Great Lakes) that was moving sideways a little, about in the direction the van was driving, but after I alerted my friend to it, it too had disappeared.

Anyways, I thought I'd take the chance of checking through the sightings on that website on the off chance that maybe this was more than some sun anomaly, and there was the above sighting. I looked through quite a few more years' worth of stories but only found ones from Niagara Falls, and not in the same time period. I'm thinking maybe this was related.

Did anybody else in the area notice anything in July 2001 concerning UFOs? I'm a little freaked out by the coincidence at this time, but that could be because it's three in the morning. Still, it's not a hugely populated area and it's not very interesting or conspiracy-ridden and to have another UFO sighting within a month max of mine seems kinda odd. ^^;

I don't remember the precise date, but I did see something in southern Indiana (New Harmony, outside of Evansville) during July of that year. It was midday, when myself, family, and neighbors spotted three mysterious figures/UFOs hovering several hundred feet directly above our location. I frantically searched for my disposable camera, but by the time I found it, they were gaining altitude at such a fast pace that I could not get a good photo. The photo I did take has been lost, as well as the negatives hmm.gif but the figures in them were barely visible anyway. No other strange occurances happened that day, before or after, only that specific sighting.

That is a very interesting article, and a very interesting experience that you had. I do not know what these things could have possibly been. w00t.gif It is hard to say. Personally, I am leaning towards an extraterrestrial craft as they seemed to be maneuvering in a pattern, almost like communicating with one another. Not to mention that I don't exactly know of any crafts shaped like those which can perform stunning maneuvers aerodynamically like that.
