At 36°31'15.56"N and 116°29'20.90"W there are some weird circles near Las Vegas. If you keep going north and let the resolution load, there are a crapload of them all across the desert in groups or pairs. What are they?

This crops up with regularity (no pun intended).

I don't currently have Google Earth, but I would bet that this is a type of farming known as centre pivot irrigation, see this entry in Wikipedia.

Thanks. ^___^

Oh, come on! Let's tell her what she wants to hear. They're crop circles formed by massing aliens, ready to attack! alien.gif << oh my gosh! there's one!

They are farms, dear. I am absolutely serious. The reason they are round like that is because it makes it easier for their sprinklers to get water to all the plants evenly. I had wondered about this too and 2 days ago I was looking up cattle mutilations and happened to come across a picture with one of these circular farms in it, and the woman who wrote the story explained it in short. It's nothing alien or the like.

If you want to see some really weird stuff, go here: 37°37'41.00"N, 116°50'54.00"W

If anyone knows what exactly that is for and why it is situated in the middle of the desert near Area 51 please let us know.

Also noteworthy is this strange formation of roadways here: 37°24'5.00"N, 116°52'4.00"W

It looks like a "sunny sign". It's also near Area 51.

Just to the west of that, is what appears to be a series of bomb? craters. Is this part of a weapons range?

Looks like bombed out bunkers to me, also part of a weapons range?

If you look closely at 37°37'41.00"N, 116°50'54.00"W you will see a small road which connects to the triangle near it's bottom left corner and leads west to the craters shaftsbury mentions. Another road then leads from the craters to another formation. All these are made by the same party.. Government? What possible motivation could they have for making the triangle with the circles inside?
