Full Version: Unknown Fish in Found in Korea
I've seen this thing before with a different story behind it. It's too bad the camera work is terrible. But hey, let's here it for cute Korean fake news reporters!
I've seen all the video, and I gotta admit this isn't the first time I see it on the net. I don't know if it's a fake or not, although I'm kinda wondering about the footage of the supposedly captured creature, why only film one side? Why not rotating the camera for front view? Is it because it's just a 2D picture? Not an actual creature?

In the Captured Creature video, what's up with all the flashing letters?
If you pause the video at :05, :10, :14, and :19 you get a text, seemingly a paragraph that is blacked out partially by a series of horizontal and vertical black lines.

Haha. I think you are right. Something is just a little off about it.
looks like it could be anything....i mean people shouldnt be suprised about what is found in the ocean these days. its a very large place in case ya didnt know....theres lots we have yet to discover... O.O
i believe its a river. maybe a mutated fish ? or camera trick ?
We cannot forget about the cute reporter. We must not! Perhaps we need more footage, for our records.

Well, the ocean is indeed big, but remember, if you're really, REALLY paying attention to the story, it was on a small river on a rural Korea.
I think the main thing we should look at regarding the reporter is that she is on a Korean station... doing a report in English! xD

The underwater shots look to me like a dogshark or an albino nurseshark. The 'capture' looks to me like 'bulls**t.

Could it have been from that Korean "kaiju" movie, er what was it, the Host? Didn't hear ifthe reporter was speaking in English though, but aye, she was cute.
^Well Urisk, if I may say, she speaks a good English, almost American English to me. And uh...no, it's not from "The Host". The monster on that movie was much much bigger and have limbs...
It seems like a hoax. Or not even really a hoax but a bit viral marketing for some special effects guys. There's lots of that going around.

All of the footage is "viral marketing" for the Korean movie "The Host" there is a link to the "monster hunter club" on the videos and on the main movie site... The blacked out text was a little could you could paste together to get a secret message to do with the movies storyline.

The trailer made me laugh, but I love these sorts of creature movies. I'm gonna download it now. It does indeed appear to be marketing for the movie, even if it doesn't exactly resemble the creature shown in the trailer (smaller, apparently limbless) but hey, the creatures have to start out small before they grow right? either way, it's clever, and I hope the movie is good or I'll have wasted 700mb
^Well, you don't have to worry about that, I think the movie was fairly good, I'll give 7.5/10.

So I didn't hear a thing. And I've not seen the Host yet, but I plan to at some point
Give it a go my friend. It was fairly good to me. And darn! It was a viral for the movie! Ah okay, at least I know from the beginning it's fake.
