Pain runs down my legs
Crippling me on this day
Stop! When will it cease?
As I watch the youth
All running, playing, dancing
I wish to join them
My nerves are injured
I am paralized again
Surrender to it
Say a prayer of hope
That tomorrow it may heal
So I can saunter
It's depressing yes
But I will not yeild to pain
As sharp knives amuck
I must remain strong
Yes, I have no other choice
Taking over me
Spasms shooting fire
The back to the tippy toes
Hunched over today
Nothing can ease this
Permanent nerve damage hurts
To my inner core
No more doctors please
No more surgeries ever
Just makes matters worse
It is destiny
Yes, some days I cannot walk
I say "C'est La Vie"!
