Couple admit confining boys for 13 years
Two teenagers found dressed in diapers
Kept locked away, beaten regularly
STAN JOSEY
STAFF REPORTER
A Durham Region couple who kept their two adopted boys confined in makeshift cages and beat them regularly over 13 years have pleaded guilty to several criminal charges.
The house of horrors for the children, discovered after relatives filed a complaint in May, 2001, shocked Durham police and children's aid officials, who found one of the youths — then 15 — curled up in a makeshift cage fashioned from a baby crib. The cage was strapped to a wall and padlocked in a ramshackle two-storey farmhouse outside of Blackstock, near Port Perry.

they should be tied up and we should be able to throw frozen peas at them, and for a small charge (going to charities who help children who suffer abuse) we should get pea shooters. and if you pay enough theyre forced to bend over and you can go for the 'bullseye'

The parents who did that should suffer the same fate. Diapers and a cage for 20 years should do. |
I agree. That is just horrifying.

Forget the diapers, let them lay in their own filth.

Go get em KC , I just watched a documentary on Feral children . Most of the children studied where actually children who had sadly been locked up or caged and kept away from any kind of stimulation . The worst part about this was that these people lost some 'critical learning' preiods in there growth .With comunication being the biggest issue .
Sadly when atleast one of these children (who had been taken from an abusive familly at 13) , turned 18 and was no longer a ward of the stsate she had no where else to go except back to the familly who had raised her untill she was 13 .
I've said it before but I really belive it's Ironic we can licence people who use guns or who drive cars but we can't licence those people who have all our futures in there hands .......Parents ....

These people are just sick
Here is another story...
S Africa 'sugarbabe punishment'South African police have charged a woman with assault after she allegedly doused four children in sugar-water and left them to be stung by bees and ants. It is alleged that Ragini Maharaj, stripped the children naked and tied them to a pole under the blazing sun.
Police spokeswoman Noses Sita told BBC News Online that they do not know why Ms Maharaj allegedly punished her foster children in this way.
The welfare service will now place the children at an alternative home.
The children, between the ages of four and 12, were abandoned by their parents some years ago and were given shelter before being placed in foster care.
Their plight was reported to the police by a neighbour after the eldest complained that she had been whipped.

There's no doubt in my mind, that these people (for lack of a better word) have got pure evil taking over their ideas of normal behavior. If only they could be caught before they have a chance to inflict the horrible trauma.

These two stories on here just makes me sick and totally angry

. If I ever in my whole life see the likes of them, I'll give them a thing or two, that they'll regret ever doing such a thing.

....how....in the blue hell can anyone possible justify themselves when they do something that...how in the hell do they justify the fact that they'll be recieving basic human rights in prison that they stripped of those children?
I say again...some people should just be considered in the same light as rabid dogs, and done away with...

I have to agree. If it weren't for the bleeding heart, these-folks-can-be-reformed, set they probably would get just what they deserve.
I have no mercy for those that would treat another human being this way.

Hey, another person with an anime girl avatar

*pauses*...one that's...much more...um...

than mine, but an anime avatar all the same, boyaka!
Also, yes...I'm afraid I'm of the opinion, and will always be of the opinion, that once you step such a distance outside of the rules that govern society, you should not be considered deserving of the rights of that society...
Everytime I hear somebody talking about the "human rights" of criminals, I do feel the need to ask "were these 'poor souls' considering the human rights of their innocent victims?"

The people who do these are completely psychotic .
I agree with seraphina . These "People" do not really deserve human rights given to them during punishment . To be eligable for human rights , you need to at least be worthy of the title "Human" in the first place .

The only difficulty is in making sure the people being punished are truly guilty. Yes, in the two previous stories provided, it is obvious that the people involved are guilty of atrocities beyond the scope of human rationality. Yet there are so many cases involving the death penalty right here in the U.S. where the people (often minorities) are convicted on the flimsiest of evidence, due to their inability to hire a competent lawyer. Punish the guilty, not the poor.

Wow, that makes for a great speach on behalf of the poor and downtroddened.
Being framed for a crime that you never committed only signifies the carelessness, incompotence, and heedlessness of certain members of the legal system are.
It's no wonder why people think their own legal system is corrupt.

Both of those stories absolutely disgust me and really piss me off! Those parents should have the same fate as what they did to their children, that is what I think is fair.

That's really sickening.
Ever heard of the incidence where a lady microwaved a baby, i'm not sure if it was her own baby though. Gah, this whole topic is gonna make me puke.
People can really be insane and irrational when they are driven by ignorance and anger (or fear).

Yeah, but who decides the standards? Maybe you have to be "born again" to be a parent. Maybe they won't let you be a parent if you have radical political beliefs. If this did happen, I think the requirement would be to take a Developmental Psychology class and pass with at least a B.
