stupid school makeing me re write a good story that someone else worked hard on. lol well i dont know but i think thats not allowed by copyright laws if not then its just me lol. any way its based on the short story The lottery. i cant remember who wrote it but its good if you havent read it yet then you should. my version is called the winners and here is what i have so far.

It was the beginning of a normal spring in the small town of Clarksville. The farmers were starting to plant there crops for the fall harvest and the sweat sent of freshly budding flowers filled the air. Many of the townsfolk were busy preparing there guardians and packing up there little remaining winter supplies.
The streets were busy with the shop keepers setting up for the warmer weather to come in the near future and the local supermarket was setting up there spring displays. The laughter of children play was once again filling the air and the trees were beginning to sprout and the small town was getting ready for the annual spring festival.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith were busy in preparation. As Mr. Smith worked in the town square Mrs. Smith was busy in her kitchen making several types of deserts for the back sale. As for there children they were busy playing with the other children of the town, getting into trouble as many young kids do.
