Two nights ago I took a picture of my friend while we were sitting in a restaurant. I didn't notice anything unusual in the photo until I switched it to black and white.
Then it seems there's a ghost sitting at the table behind my friend. Anyone else see it?

That is weird...it's probably just a trick of light and shadows due to the contrasting black and white.. can you post a color copy for comparison?

Here's the original

I like the black and white better. He reminds me of Johnny Cash.

The black and white does make a better photo... and there's still something like a form in the background of the color one....interesting

..and he does have a Johnny Cash look

Do you mean the table on the upper left? I see the table cloth, and something on top of the table, like flowers, you can see a bit of red. Unless I'm looking in the wrong spot?

It looks like a vase of flowers to me when it's in colour - when it's in black and white it does look like a human form.
Very interesting, thanks for posting.

Interesting photo...It does look as if something is there, and it extends beyond the table, but not to the floor...Makes me wonder...

Creepy picture, I can see how that would get your attention. However, after looking at it for a while, I am pretty convinced that it is a tall vase with a red flower and green leaves in it. Probably a carnation, since that is a cheap and pretty flower, and pretty common for centerpieces in restaurants.
Imagine this:

Then add the shake effect in the background due to poor lighting and probably no flash, and I can see how the flower would create multiple images that combine to look like the outline of a figure. It's even pretty detailed, to me it looks like the Pope.
Can you remember if there were flowers in vases on the tables?

I'd have to agree with the vase idea, normally I'm pretty open to the more crazy idea, but the photo didn't really give that sort of eerie feel.

I have a theory. I'm erasing the rest of the photo other than the area in question.

You dont have to look closely at that pic to see a ghostly figure..its almost in your face
Maybe it is someone that died in the restaurant coked on a chicken wing lol (sorry my bad) goodness know who it is
But if I were true..I wouldnt sit in there again..too creepy

I... see.... Dead.... Flowers (best sixth sense voice)
IMO when a pic is that blurred, it can't be used as evidence of spirits because there is bluriness and therefore whatever you're looking at is out of focus.
It defo looks like a blurry vase of flowers IMO.

I hate to say it, but you know what it looks like to me? It looks like some kind of tracer from the actual picture above and to the right of the "ghost"... looks like a woman in a wedding dress?
Was this a digital picture? Or on film?

I am an artist myself, and I love science, and I must point out that the reflection could create a ghostly image, but not with that amount of detail, also the ghost appears to be going right through the table, and is in a classic artist modeling pose. Could it be a ghostly model?

I don't believe in ghosts, but I'd like to point out that the figure people are seeing is in front of the vase adn the vase does not account for the figure.
((Shush, I'm no artist!))
