I'm by no means a mythology buff...

all I can find is that Pegasus "sprung from medusa's blood"

cool.gif what is the significance of the dates: 6 April 1917 and 8 December 1941? cool.gif

April 6, 1917 - World War I: United States declares war on Germany.

December 8, 1941 - World War II: After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor the previous day, the U.S. Congress passes a declaration of war against Japan, bringing the United States of America officially into World War 2; Congresswoman Jeannette Rankin casts the only "no" vote. In response, Hitler's Germany declares war on the United States.

Probably meant that ^ ...

But in an eerie coincidence, something else happened on December 8, 1941:
December 8, 1941 - Holocaust: First Nazi use of gas vans on Jews, at the Chelmno camp near Lodz. ohmy.gif hmm.gif sad.gif

Well, admittedly, there aren't a lot of people in the world who know that as first-hand information...

I suppose you could use EVP to get your facts right lol
Tillghast

OK next question,

What are the object and simple rules/guidelines of the game "Googlewhacking"?

And if you guess and you're pretty sure you're right clap.gif (i.e. without me having to say so) just go ahead and ask a new question.

It certainly saves me racking my brain lol tongue.gif
What_the_deal?
The object of Googlewhacking is to go to a search engine, enter two words w/o quotation marks, plus signs, misspellings, or anything of that nature, and have it only give you one matching result page. I just learned this now, and it sounded really challenging, so I went to Google. I actually went with the intention of doing an Image Search, but instead I thought, "Well, why don't I give Googlewhacking a go?" So I typed in "freelancing capybaras" (minus the quotes, of course) and lo and behold, one lone result. I am the champion. thumbup.gif

http://www.writing-world.com/newsletter/2004/WW04-14.shtml - 48k (for some capybara-related freelancing)

I'm pretty sure I'm right... unsure.gif...so next question (it's two parts, lol):

What color is a polar bear's fur? How about its skin?

edit: But it is tough. I can't find anything else yet...the closest I've come is two hits for "ikebana liverwurst".

Q. Was Queen Elizabeth I Catholic or Protestant-inclined?
Elvis
Yay, it's really good that this topic has found its feet again. Thank you to What_the_deal? for answering my (2-week old) question!

OK, I believe Queen Elizabeth I was more Protestant-inclined.

My question is: Can anyone name the guitar company that have signature models from famous players such as Noodles from The Offspring, Daron Makalian from System Of A Down, Mick Thomson from Slipknot, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani?
I hope I have given you enough clues... thumbsup.gif

I'll ask a question:

What is the only word meaning "the study of..." (e.g. biology, zoology, and the like) that does not end in -ology?

Think about it...unless you already know, in which case you don't have to think all that hard.
What_the_deal?
I can offer a hint, if need be. The word ends in -alogy. Any takers? Yes? No? Maybe??
