I'm new here. We have had some wierd things going on around our house, I wonder if someone here might know how I can make it stop. Or if there is some logical explanation. We keep hearing knocking on front door and windows. Plain as day usually at night, but no one there. Also one day when I woke up two of my rings were melted around my fingers. They were gold. I guess it wasn't so much melted as smashed around them. One I took to the jeweler, and it was beyond repair she said. My hand was not hurt though. She said she couldn't believe it. The other thing is our things going missing.Then they turn up in strange placces. Mostly it has been brooms, and my jewelry.

That's quite odd. It can be hard to tell if there is actually no1 knocking on the windows and doors as when you get to them the could be gone .... but I don't know you haouse layout so thats just a suggestion.

Do you sleep walk? Maybe you damaged your rings and jewelry while up at night just not knowing it. Or in your sleep you could have had a bad dream and just kept wackign your arm off the bes post .... again I don't know ... just a suggestion.

As for things going missing ... where do they dissappear to? Like do you find the broom in the attic? What kind of weird places?

I'm just thinking of logical reasons before you mention Ghosts or whatever, as real as they are something simple could be the answer, as in most cases.

We have lived here for almost four years, and this has been happening that long. So it is possible that someone is doing it. I just think the joke would get a little old.
I guess it's possible I was sleep walking. I fell asleep on the couch, and there was nothing near me, but the couch.
My broom just completely disappeared. We have searched all over our property, and not found it. How do you lose a broom? My jewelry has turned up in wierd places-maybe my kiddos go a hold of them though.

No problem, I've livedwith ghosts most of my life... I thought of logical reasons for things behaving the way they do, but it usually comes back to it being something along the lines of a presence.

Well if someone was knocking at your windows for 4 years .... they are either very persistant to drive you nuts or there's just no1 at it. If you have a camera you should record yourself sleeping a few times and notice your behavior over a week or so ... you may be fortunate and catch something else on film then too if things are disappearing.

Maybe it was the kids, but maybe not.

Anyways I wish you the best in finding out some answer for yourself ... maybe you can take some EVP's and see if you catch anything. Have you captured anything (out of the ordinary) on film there?

get a priest in to preform an exorsism in a worst case scenario eg it turns out to be a poltergeist or tries to scare or hurt you or anyone else.

That's some creepy stuff. I agree with the other poster's idea, get a camera, record yourself sleeping. Get a security camera for you front door, or wherever the knocking is. Get motion sensor lights, or even a motions sensor camera, like one of those game cameras that keep catching Bigfoot.

I like that you didn't automatically yell POLTERGEIST or DEMON and that you are thinking of rational ways to solve the mystery. Good luck, and please let us know what you find!

Have you looked into the history of the house?

I know it was on the market for ten years. I don't know why though. We met the second owners of the home. they were nice enough. The man who bought it after them tried to sell it for ten years. He finally started renting it out. The renters were kind of strange. The neighbors have told me a little about them. They put several layers barbed wire all along the back yard. Also alot of long pieces of metal scraps stuck in the ground around the back yard. I would like to know more about the place. I should look into that. It's not too old. It was built in 1981. Anyway, thanks for the replies. I will keep watching other posts on here and maybe learn something.

If the broom is missing and nowhere to be found, wouldn't that imply the witch had left the house?

hm that does sound wierd i think looking into the history of the house is a good idea. but for now until you find out more about the psat im going with sleepwalking
