I always get goosebumps whenever I'm listening to some of my favorite songs (especially "Time" by Pink Floyd) and there's like a tingle feeling in my brain, usually the right side but it varies between the back and front and it feels like areas of my brain that never really get used either. More specifically I can feel my brain working or doing something. Then that feeling shoots all the way down my entire right side of my body. If I get this feeling on my left brain then it shoots down the left side. What exactly would explain this? what is my brain doing as I'm enjoying this song? Personally I feel warmer like my soul is alive and stronger during these events also.

Yeah, I get that too sometimes. I can't think of a specific event. But the logical person in me has to ask- are you taking any medication?

The reason I ask is because medication has the tricky habit of doing stuff like that (although it wouldn't be so specific as to happen each time you hear a particular song, I know)

I am on a small dose of Zoloft, and on the days that I forget to take it, I experience something that feels like electric shocks that start in my brain and sometimes are so strong, they actually make me startle. Once I take the Zoloft, the shock go away. Strange, huh?

No, I'm not on any drugs or medication at all. The occasional vitamin c is really about it. I'm a really musically influenced person though, always listening to music and have played piano for 8 years now.

i also experience this, but take no medicine though im not aware of the cause of it (i get it when listening to good music, sometimes when watching a show, other times when just day dreaming in general, or when i feel like somethings watching me/watched a scary movie or something though its random)

Well ... one answer is ultrasonic noise, or noise lower than 20hz. Pink Flyod were a complete trip and I wouldn't put it passed them to put some of this in their songs.

Sounds lower than 20 Hz the human ear can't pick up, but it is a cause of goosebumps and that feeling of being watched. Also high EMF readings cause the feeling of being watched, goosebumps, nausia, and other common symptoms of when people say there is a spirit present. So I'd check out my house and see if something is putting on too much EMFs (Electromagnetic force) and then look around the web to see if Pink Flyod have been know to put ultrasonice sounds in thier songs.

And another thing ... you should go to a doctor. Explain to him that you get weird sensations in your head. It's better to be safe than sorry isn't it. What happens if it's something serious? Then that's not very good is it.

Best wishes.

I think it's just a physical emotional reaction to the music. I get goosebumps and shivery feeling when I hear some gospel music... which is odd because I really don't like gospel music. It is something about the tone or power of the music that evokes a physical response.

I feel that to, I think thats its just pleasure in it most pure of forms happy.gif .

Yea, pleasure in a really deep feeling sounds about right. I really hope there's nothing wrong with my head, I can think and act fine (though I did get knocked out by a blow to the head when I was 11). I also noticed today I really get that feeling when I daydream in head to a song, like my own idea of a music video. I've got lots of em! That's intresting you mention EMFs, maybe my ipod love to give off massive amounts of them. wink2.gif

It makes me wonder through, what exact purpose serves the goosbumps? Does it make you warmer when your cold, like shivering?
