this happend around 6-7 years ago.
The family, dog and I were walking down the grassy track to the local swimming hole (creek). all of a sudden the Dog started to wimper and whine and stayed close to dad with tail between her legs (dogs tail.. dogs legs.. not dads ^^) any who so after the dog was acting all weird we all kinda were on edge. then as i looked over my shoulder, instead of seeing all the lush green hills and green forest i saw a barren waste land all rocky and treeless and there was a man, a hairy man with what seemed to be an animals hide wraped around him like your tradtional cave man, he was also carrying a stocky wooden mace. at the time im not sure if any one else was seing it but i was screaming and yelling to every one wat i was seeing but dad just told me to be quiet.. i still have no idea wat it was or if it was real.
my sister remembers it though, so that rules out it being a dream.
any one know what may have caused this? or what it maye have been. or am i crazy

hey, i doubt your crazy because your sister saw it as well and your dog sensed it so clearly you saw something, what you say is interesting, it could have been an apparition, never heard of one being that old though. im glad your actually having expirences like that, im in vic but i dont ever get to see anything where i am

there was much more of an eerieness to it that didnt realy come out in my writing. that old dog use to get pretty whiney a lot of the time near that creak though. there was over 5 deaths in 20 years in that river though. it was a pretty haunted place. if that helps with anything.

amazing, my pa said hat he experienced a time laps back in little rock (he no longer lives their), he was loading boxes into the basement of a drug store that used to be a battle ground. He said he was walking down into the darkly lit basement, he dropped the boxes, and looked forward, he said it was like walls were fading into smoke, and beyond that a canon was pointed horizontally away from him, at 90 degrees, one of the men in the crew turned and looked, the shock was evident on his face, dad was shocked, he turned tale ran, and quite the job at the drug store. Pa says that it was either a ghost or some sort of time disruption.

so it realy is a thing that happens! thats comforting that im not the only one it happens to!
thats pretty freaky! i am pretty sure at the time it was like tha caveman fella could also see me, so like maybe he saw into the future and saw in the past. i wonder for what reasons. i'v always remember seeing strange things since early childhood. since iv been on this sight the memories come flooding back, its goot to get it off my chest

I think scientists currently believe that the Aboriginals and their ancestors were the only people to inhabit Australia before we colonised it.

hmm as clear as i can remember i think he was kinda more reddish but tanned. it was a very long time ago he wasn't to tall but a stoky build and lots of thick hair mostly just beard hair! with a reddish brown colord hair. He didnt appear to be aborigional. neandertholish perhapse.

on the idea that it could be a place and time, what did the scenery look like? where there any trees that aren't native to Australia there? Or anything else out of place?

I just want to say that I don't think I'm crazy, or I don't think my friend is either and that this isn't the first paranormal thing to happen to me, but defintely one of the freakiest. The basic point of this post is to ask people whether or not things like this have happened to them and also what they think about the whole situation. Thanks people and please no stoppers by saying that I'm crazy or I'm drunk or I'm whatever ... If you have constructive input, I'll appreciate it.

Imagine, there he is and suddenly sees two people and a dog that must have appeared strange in that you were all dressed so different from him. If indeed, it was a timelapse, he was probably thinking he was seeing ghosts
If it's any consolation, I don't think you are mad, nor do I think any of the other people reporting similar accounts on here are crazy either.

I was avoiding reading this thread because the title made me think it was about alien abductions. i'm glad i read it though, it's a very interesting phenomenom.
these things always creep me out. Never experienced one myself though, luckily... Have you read the short story by Ray Bradbury, "the dragon", it was really nice and included similar experience.

the trees was another strange thing. im pretty sure the hills and most the large rock formation stayed the same. but the ground was mostly all diry and brown grass and the trees all seemed to be chopped down low. but if it was a vision to the past how did they chop them so low and clean, as though they used machines. and if it was into the future why was the man so ancient looking? it still bothers me.

ahh thats a bit trippy! it kinda reminds me of when i was walking through a city beach shop and i wanted to show something to a friend in the change room area so i was walking to the change room area at the back of the shop and all of a sudden i was standing at the entrance of the shop again facing were i was just standing previously! lol it was like some weird glitch i was so tripped out at that moment! lol

There's no reason why there would not be ancient looking people in the future. It's impossible to predict future society and socio-ecenomic situation.

I agree, I know that I at least enjoy going primitive camping every now and again!
also somebody said something about appearing at the front of the store, one day I went through 11:11am to 1:11pm then took a nap, woke up at 11:11am that morning! everything went exactly as it did before, except I did not dare take that nap, sometimes wonder if I had a very vivid dream of the coming hours.
Also I must say does anybody ever remember that dude who claimed to travel through his sink(the cabnits under it really) and into the future (either 20 or 50 yrs) at that same location and met himself, and then turned around and went back through, could that be a time lapse? (he videoed himself on his phone)
maybe time is much more unstable than is normally thought?
I somtimes wish I had been born or lived in a different time without all this internet and computers and huge cities! it would have been nice and interesting to have lived way back in the stone ages in castles with vast feilds of uncorrupt land and rich thick forests. but nothing we can do but dream these days! lol

Me too Sam. I want to be back in the 60's/70's so I can live with that great era in music and go see all my favorite bands. I sometimes have dreams of me being there. So that's ok I guess. I'd sure like to time lapse back there.

are you sure bout this? do these things really happen? because i havent experienced any mysterious phenomena since i was born. but im really interested in things like this. youre experience is interesting. time lapse? is it when you get into the past unexpectedly? or into the future?

im as sure as the memory still feels so real. I died when i was a baby but mysteriously got revived, and they say once u pass and come back you come back with gifts. but im not sure! it doesnt seem like a very nice gift! most things i see dont seem to be of a nice happy-ness! lol

well, if I see another time lapse I am gonna run through it as fast as possible, unless it is a portal to the past, then I will throw something through, then the next day walk back and dig at that site and see if it really was time 'thingy". So if I go the future, I will get a time machine and bring yuh back to the future.
