we journey onwards, not backwards...
late repenting, unliving spirits wailing
because they missed the ferry
or probably lost the tickets...
finding holes in their pockets
they search for dropped change
gathering energy transferences from strangers
they thumb for rides from
destinations towards no-man's-land
and with determination filled eyes
roofless ocean and bottomless sky
clearing the path for travel
on sunbeams, the destination is
unknown as of now so
unchartered, using one's body compass
concerned the pointer isn't bent
unmanipulatively indestructible, pliantly unerringly accurate
