Ok, this is weird, but I'd like it if someone could help me come to a conclusion as to what I've encountered.
Yesterday, I was out with my 2 friends at 6am as we were walking early to get to the car boot sale. We crossed over a motorway bridge and just as we came off the otherside, I got this really cold shiver/chill along the back of my neck and down my back, sorta like hair standing on end and accompanied with this was a sense or feeling of sadness or fear, and my eyes strangely started watering. I couldn't understand it, I just felt overpowered by this feeling and my eyes were watering and I was rubbing them..
My friends didn't understand and I was confused as well.
Just after the feeling went away, one of my friends mentioned how a girl had recently been raped and committed suicide off of that motorway bridge about a week to a month ago....
I don't know for sure why he said it, I think it was to scare my other friend, who is a girl.
But this just really shocked me, and creeped me out after what I felt.

If anyone has ever had eyes watering or anything similar I'd love to hear you account or see a reply.

Nope, I haven't got a cold.
And nope, no sudden breeze, it was sort of this cold spot I walked through..I can't explain it, its like I got off the bridge and then my hair stood on end and I had this chill across my neck and my back.

If it was not a medical problem, it is said we can get senses from spirits, from time to time. If what your friend told you was true, maybe a spiritual entity crossed by you or near you for a brief moment which would account feeling so cold on certain parts of your body, and feelings of doom and death, depending on the spirit. There are some things we cannot explain however, and this is one of them. But that was just my opinion of what it might possibly be. JN

Hi again, No never had watery eyes, but certainly have gotten chills and very cold, and get emotions that are not mine, but possibly from a spirit? I believe when someone dies a violent death, they dont rest in peace till they are told its ok to move on, or that justice is served. That is just my own opinion, so maybe that is what happened to you for a brief moment in time. I have gotten various symptoms but the watering eyes could have meant tears from the spirit that brushed by you. Will you be able to go out to that location again and see if it happens or repeats itself? JN

Sounds about right to me too.

Although, it could have been empathy - the intellectual identification with or vicarious experiencing of the feelings, thoughts, or attitudes of another.

Maybe there was an accident there and you felt the feeling thereat one moment in time .... possible.

Hmmm, it's funny you should bring this up. Yes, I have experienced watery (tear-filled) eyes for NO APPARENT REASON. I have allergies and the itching sensation or allergy sensation was not there. I can only explan it like someone turning on a faucet (NOT STRONGLY) and then at some point turning it off. This has happened when I have NOT been sad or stressed. I always chalked it up to my eyes needing extra lubricant or something... but yes; I have experienced something similar. Jody

PS: My house is clearly haunted (controlled and no worries --I choose the ignore route--but still haunted no doubt). Many other threads address this.

JUst wanted to make one more attempt at reason and suggest that it was a real external stimuli.

The only thing that I can contribute to this was once I was in a cemetary, I happen to love just hanging out in them even if I am not hunting spirits, and I came across an infants grave and I had an overwhelming since of sadness as from a mothers grief and I at the time was not a mother myself. I had tears well up in my eyes and I couldnt explain it. I didnt know the child or the family but it still to me felt like a heartbreak a mother would have had after losing a child.
I dont know if that is similar to what you are looking for or not but it did happen and I just chalked it up to sympathy for the family.

It is clear to me that what you felt was vibrations of a recent event such as a suicide. The girl was probably close to you in age or looks or something like that to have a vibration as close to you. I would definitely find out if a girl got raped and committed suicide. It really would not matter in the whole scheme of things to know that, but pay attention to your life, i.e. who enters your life, what happens, etc.

I believe there is not another existence, but dimensions of the same existence. And those who commit suicide are stuck between dimensions and are reaching out to those close to their existence for help. And you can help them by realizing that they are gone from this dimension and that there is a better dimension for them to be in.

I have experienced that in more than one place and I stopped and assured the entity that everything was alright and to go on and enjoy their life. Believe me, this is real.

I had looked it up yesterday after starting the thread, and yes, it was a girl of 18 who commited suicide, if it is the same person...

And also, I shall be sure to go back tomorrow with someone and see if I get any feelings again or if I can perhaps...reach out..in some sort of way.

P.s I wonder if its to do with my personality. I get depressed and have thought about suicide quite abit in the past...

There was an episode of TAPS where a person had a experience like this. They walked past a spot where a lot of prostiution used to happen. When you walk past that spot, you will feel the sorrow of the hookers who lived and died doing their jobs. It only happens if you are a woman.

TAPS didn't actually have it happen to them, so there is no real proof. The people it happened to believed it though, so something like this may be possible. Some sort of emotional imprint from the past..

I was going to suggest that yesterday, about being possibly suicidal, and if not you what of the others who were walking across the bridge with you? Are they like that, she may have contacted you the only way she knew how to let you know that one of those friends may make an attempt.
Anything is possible concerning the unknown, paranormal world so dont rule out anything just yet. Have you had any recent thoughts of suicide? If so then that coud be why she chose you to feel her sadness.

Be strong, dont let the bad win out you can fight the deppression it is hard but you can do it I know I am a long time sufferer of suicidal tendancies, chronic depression dont give up on yourself.

I wouldn't know deep down what my friends are like or if they suffer from depression etc.
But yes, I have alot of suicide thoughts and am going to get councilling soon.
I went back today, I didn't feel much this time, but my friend said I went really pale, this friend wasn't with me before and didn't know about the suicide.
