Cheers for the links. The WOW signal kind of spins me out, taking into account how long it would take for a signal to come from that far away, the fact it lasts such a short time is perplexing...Yet it's been proven that it was not a terrestrial signal. Perplexing.

The WOW signal happened 30 years ago so its unlikely it was aliens.

Back in the "70's, humans sent out a signal from Arecibo. It was a "one-off", and not a continuous signal. Is it possible that, "whoever" sent this signal, could have been doing something similar? Testing the waters, so to speak? However, one would think and expect that such signals would be commonplace given the sheer number of stars and likely planets in our galaxy that could theoretically harbor intelligent life. Is it possible that such life is so far in advance of us that we are simply unable to detect them? Do they want to be detected? Especially by a warlike race such as ours? Do we need to redefine "Intelligence?"
