MONTREAL - An axe-wielding masked man who attempted to rob a Montreal-area doughnut shop didn't get any coffee but he did get creamed.

Montreal police say the 18-year-old man entered a Tim Hortons outlet in suburban Pointe-Claire just after midnight and threatened the woman behind the counter with his axe.

Const. Olivier Lapointe says the masked man demanded money and was starting to scoop up the cash when another female employee working in the kitchen showed up.

With the help of three customers, the clerks jumped the suspect, took away his axe, wrestled him to the ground and recovered the money.

Good for them, lucky no one was hurt. But, with the amounts of coffee that the employees drink....wrong place to rob!LOL

In my opinion, Krispy Kreme has NOTHING on Tim Hortons... OMG. If I lived in Canada I'd have a butt the size of Ontario. LOL

Well I say he's lucky! If the cops gotten to him first for invading thier sanctuary donut shop, they would have to use donut holes to plug the bullet holes in this guy.

Before I found out I was wheat intolerant (sobs), the pecan butter danish was my favorite! And of course, their coffee.....yummy!

I love tim hortons..

we love Timmy's so much...we have a store in Iraq for the soldiers. Just because they are way over on the other side of the world, doesn't mean that they shoudl be deprived of Tim Hortons! LOL

unfortunatly the guy robbing the store didnt see the employees drinking high caffine filled shots of coffee with enough caffine to make red bull look like a normal softdrink. go caffine!

The if you drink your coffee black the butt stays a reasonable size.

AAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHA!!! You're right! I have been making so many comments about the war in Iraq, it is the first country that comes to mind when saying anything about the Middle East. And I wrote that at night, so not enough coffee is not an excuse! I goofed, I admit it.

We don't have a Tim Horton's here and our only Krispy Kreme closed down (no big deal), so it's only Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts..Although you can get a turbo at DD...that extra shot in the coffee usually does the trick when I'm dragging my a**..

You just don't rob coffee shops! Not only is everyone buzzing on caffeine, but you also interrupt a lot of high speed speech! And people get annoyed when their conversations are interrupted........
