Dorset, U.K. - A teenager survived being struck by lightning while she took a shower.

Abbie Jackson, 17, was hit by the bolt while she took a shower in her bathroom.

Abbie said, "I saw the bolt come through the window. It lit up my arm and the shower head flew out of my hand."

Her Mum Tracy said: "Thunder was rattling the house - it was so scary. Then she came and told me what happened. It was freaky

I bet it never come through the window, i bet what happened was the lighting hit the house, the house isnt properly earthed and the electricity travelled though all the internal wires and metals, that would explain why the shower head flew out of her hand and the reason why the house shook, the flash at the window was just the lightening hitting the house.

back in 1997 my next door neighbours house was hit twice in a matter of seconds, four foot from my bed room window the lightening hit their sky dish, and the next bolt blew the chimney off fthe roof. after this event it left me scared of lightening for a good few years, i didnt think lightening could be so loud, a direct hit sounds like a whip cracking and a bomb going off at the same time and it happens that fast you dont have time to register whats happening.

lighting does strike to window. when i was 5, a lighting strike through window in my living room house, and it floating around before finally disappear. that's why i really scared when i see lighting or fireball
