Chasing the flow
By: Jody

Dark curls frame the face
of a man I used to know

Filled with love, compassion and grace
and the eyes of a beautiful doe

For him I would always wear my lace
and in my hair a beautiful bow

I would wait patiently at my place
for our love to blossom and grow

He is my one; my true embrace
though of this he does not know

Never got the courage to show a trace
of the love my mind did blow

Dark and alluring; never was a race
soft and tender; never like a show

For the rejection I would always brace
my heart would hang mighty low

And hoping this wasn't the case
Off again I would always go

He's taken me to places I can't erase
and he feeds my heart a warm glow.
