These are some of my paranormal experiences.

This past Monday night, I said before I went to sleep, "Grandmother, if you can contact me through my dreams, please do so tonight." I did this three times. I dreamed, and I had just finished being in a play (in real life I love drama, hence the username). She was standing with my dad and my dad said she was actually alive. I ran up to her and hugged her. That's all I can remember.

IDK if this was her contacting me, or just me dreaming of her, but a few months ago I dreamed I was at her house and she was actually alive (see a pattern). She said she owned half of Wal-Mart and that I had inherited it (this last part about inheriting it I'm not sure of).

I was very close to this Grandmother. She died when I was 6. Here's one more experience dealing with her.

One night my friend, who I've always thought was different in some way which I couldn't place a finger on, was spending the night at my house. We're both in the same acting troupe, which I was having some hard times in for 5 months straight. We were talking about it and I broke down right then and there. At the time I was feeling her prescence often, so I went into a closet and grabbed a blanket she'd made for me in my younger days. My friend speaks up and says, "Okay, my mom taught me this when I was 5, and it might help you. It's a bit of a meditation." The meditation was a green light coming down and going through my body, eliminating all the bad. It surprisingly made me feel better. Anyway, a week later, my friend tells me a secret he hasn't told anyone else. He said he can often see and talk to ghosts, and that night he heard my grandmother speaking to him, and it was actually her that told him to teach the meditation to me. He also says he saw a wisp of gray hair in the mirror in my room. At the time he says she was speaking to him, I was holding the blanket AND a locket with her ashes in it (I'm very funny about my deceased Grandmother. I often wear that locket, it makes me feel better). Also, please don't doubt this friend. He's a very trustworthy person, and again, I always thought there was something different about him.

During those 5 months I had troubles I really felt her spirit. I still do, just not as much. I feel she's a sort of guardian angel of mine.

Just one more experience of mine and a few accounts in a theatre.

I do a lot of community theatre. Well, one day I had just finished a 2 matinee and was waiting for the 7 evening show to start. I was eating my dinner in the dressing room alone, and I felt this odd feeling of being watched (this often happens in this particular theatre). I stood up, looked around the room, seeing my reflection in all the mirrors, and ran out for 15 minutes, then came back up to finish my dinner. I do this a lot and the feeling never leaves the room. I still haven't gotten used to it.

One of my friends (the same one in the grandmother account) was in another play and was helping tear down the set (strike). He went up with his bro to clean the dressing rooms, when he looked in a mirror and saw in red, "I love Jason." Him and his bro ran down to a person downstairs and said what happened. The person said to go back up and they did. It now said, "I hate Jason." They ran down again. This time, the person went up with them. The mirror said, "GET OUT."

There are various accounts of people hearing music come from the empty orchestra pit. Many people get the same feelings I get: the watched feeling.

Any comments/discussion would be appreciated.

It's not uncommon for people to have dreams about lost loved ones, it happens to almost everyone. My cousin has had vivid dreams (which is very unusual for him) about our grandfather who died several years ago, him being alive and sitting on his lap like he used to do when he was young. I used to have dreams about a cat I lost, which was really the only dream I've ever had about someone who's died, and I've wanted to see them again.

I would say it's possible that the dream you had after asking for contact was her spirit getting in touch with you, but it is also just as possible that the dream was nothing more than a dream based on your longing for her.

About the theatre, though. Having an uneasy, "being watched" feeling is common place in old buildings. I also find that if you think too much about something watching you, then the feeling increases. It's more than likely your subconscious reacting to mixed feelings. And, the writing on the mirrors, I would boil it down to pranksters. The person who your friend ran down to could have been in on it too, otherwise I don't know why this person wouldn't have gone up with your friends the first time to see what the fuss was all about.

The person they ran down to was their dad (should've said that in the first post).

Also, the time I got that feeling VERY strongly all the lights were on.

Still, I believe the theatre's haunted.

And about the writing being a possible prank: how could they get the previous writing off so quickly? The two friends ran down the stairs to tell their dad and straight up. About 30 seconds.

I really don't think who they ran down to matters, anyone could feel the need to pull a prank on someone. My parents do it quiet often, perhaps not to that extent, but what parent is above tricking their child to get a good laugh, even if it's to themselves?

Also, I didn't say anything about if lights had to be turned on or turned off? That has nothing to do with anything... you get feelings no matter what. And if you truly feel that some place is haunted, then I have no doubt that you're going to end up convincing yourself of that, and you're going to end up feeling whatever you tell yourself to feel. The only true, possible way to prove that some place is haunted is to collect evidence other than stories, and until it can be given, who else is going to believe it?

Also, it depends on what the words were written in. Make up? Lipstick? Marker? You never told us, so it could have been anything. A quick swipe of a rag and a another good scribble, and you're in business. Thirty seconds is indeed a fair amount of time, I have no doubts that it can be done.

My friend said it looked like a mixture of blood and lipstick when it started with "I hate Jason."

And I thought about the lights being on that it might create a feel of energy.
