I remember seeing the movie "Sybil" on TV in the early 80s. I tried to find it on DVD or video but never could, however, I have just stumbled across the link below and it seems a remake has been made:

Sybil is a remake of the 1976 made-for-TV miniseries about the life of a woman, Sybil Dorsett, suffering from dissociative identity disorder and the process by which her psychiatrist unravels her abusive childhood. The CBS produced remake stars Tammy Blanchard as Sybil and Jessica Lange as Dr. Wilbur, and has been released in 2007.

Did anyone else see the original? If so, what did you think?

I found it a very interesting film and now that it has been remade, I think I will buy the DVD.

I saw the original movie and I think it's worth watching. But it is very 70's if you know what I mean. I bet the remake would be a lot better.

I remember the title Sybil but I don't think I ever saw it. Also, I remember one The three faces of Eve? or something like that.

I never saw that film. If I recall, Eve was based on a woman who actually had about 21 different personalities - (it probably turns out it was Sybil or something) laugh.gif

Sally Fields was in the original. I remember it really really well. My mom used it to show us what a "bad mother" was.

If you have any questions PM me ok.
