The quality of that "film" is entirely too clear to be 1947. It looks like video.
Oh, it's an imaginative hoax and looks good to the undiscerning eye but I refuse to believe it. The resolution quality in some shots is just too good to be film that was taken 60 years ago.
But, if the babe in the intro believes that, I have a nice haunted bedroom to show her sometime ...

Listening to the Doctor's explanation at the end of the video was quite enlightening too. Whether that was how it really worked was another matter, but it would certainly make more sense, than just stabbing indiscriminately and hoping for the best.
