Person of your nightmares!
okay...i have been experiencing some weird things...{PLEASE KEEP YOUR BAD OPINIONS TO YOURSELF}...for some time now i have been able to actually hear the electrical current of electrical technology. whenever i get mad either candles flicker and go out (no wind, no A/C), tv's and computers lock up and freeze. sometimes i can control it, like for example, i was really mad at my friend and i wanted him to come outside and his computer locked up and couldnt even restart, is this normal? i am a skeptic of this kind of stuff but i just need to know if this can be proved false or true.

I had this conversation a few years back after telling someone about things that happen to me. Apparently it's not that uncommon, in fact, there is a name for people who experience this phenomenon. SLIders. (Its named that because a common occurrence is streetlights going off when such a person is near, so Street Light Interference became SLIders.)

I can't tell you how many times I have been driving, and as I am passing streetlights they turn off, one after the other. Not the normal sulfur bulb relight. I can hear electronic equipment, and in times of extreme anger or stress, electronics sometimes malfuntion, only to work again normally later.

I don't think it is necessarily supernatural, but I think there is a connection between electricity created by the brain and waves and how it might affect other electronic devices. Kind of like how you aren't supposed to use a cell phone in a hospital because it might mess up the EKG down the hall.

Anyway, here are a couple of links regarding SLIders.

SLIders

More SLIders

And of course, the wiki.

im not sure about control

but i understand the effects

i think it would be your EM field [aura]

your body normally emits a low frequncy charge
this means you would have better awareness of your enviroment
the charged nerves notic more sounds [ear hairs play a role think tuning fork]
if you emit more you could jam [not so powerful] interfere w stuff

but note enviroment and position also effect things

my radio will react to someone moving in my house

lol by no bad opinions, you mean you dont want anyone to tell you that you have no super powers..
ok

well in that case yes,, yes you ARE in fact a super hero.

congrats.

... Or, Sede, he/she could've meant that there wasn't any need for people to be smart-*****. Good job screwing that up. wink2.gif

But, no, hun/mate; this isn't uncommon at all. I really can't tell you anything that Wiki couldn't, though, so... you're on your own. Good luck! happy.gif

AM or FM? Because AM radio is very suseptible to interferance. Although it needs to be a source of InfraRed light (any heat) or energy eg: lightning strike. So that could be why its affected. But usually it wouldn't be affected that much.

Only other thing I can think of is perhaps there is a lose wire and the vibrations caused by people moving around the house shakes the floor and the wire may fall in and out of circuit. Other than that I'd be looking at something supernatural...

Anyways of topic here.

I have noticed lately that I can't nececarily here the electricity but rather highpitch squeels from most electronic things. Previously it had only come from TV and Computer monitors but now I'm beggining to here it from more and more things and it annoys me to high heaven because it gives me a headache.

Hey thanks for the information, please send more lol, and thanks for the website

and yes sede i didn't want anyone to be smart-*****
NOT to put bad replies

Yea, that's normal. I can't do some of that stuff...but like mothman-man I too can hear those squeels(I'm not sure if that's what you're talking about) and I can feel the em fields. I don't mean like hairs standing on end it's more of an aura thing like Nik Xues said....for example at school they some big flourescent lights on a low ceiling and if I walk down the hall blindfolded(I tried it...I'm pretty skeptical myself) I could tell you exactly when I'd pass under them. In addition I have a radio that messes up around people too. It's a small one and depending where you are the quality changes...so sometimes I'm my own antenna...it's kinda annoying but it was a gift from a friend so it's worth it, xD.

mothman man my radio is FM but i think its more me acting like the atenae for it

back to point [bk 2 pt]
my mom's watches will speed up a minute for every day maybe its similar

and that darn hum is it like a hissing eeeeeee sound but just barely audibal
mothman-man
Yeah that eeee noise is what I get too.
Nik Xues
i think i found an explanation to the hum

it is air ionizing due to the items own EM current

like hearing river [current]
ionization is what causes thunder[higher charge] i think

oh and candles could be you either stomping around or breathing heavy enough to disturb them.
