Wrestling star Hulk Hogan was "shocked" by his wife's decision to file for divorce.Linda Bollea, 48, has submitted legal documents in Florida's Pinellas County Court seeking a permanent separation from her husband, whose real name is Terry Bollea, aged 54.
The wresting legend was informed of the split on Friday by a reporter from local newspaper the St. Petersburg Times.
He told the journalist, "I'm kind of shocked. You caught me off guard. My wife has been in California for about three weeks... Holy smokes."
"Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me... I just pulled over to the side of the road for five minutes to find out what was going on here."
The papers do not state a reason for the divorce, reports local Fox News TV channel WTVT.
Linda is also filing for a share of the two properties in Clearwater and Miami. She also wants alimony and care for her 17 year old son Nick.
The couple was married for 24 years following their 1983 wedding, and have two kids, 19-year-old Brooke and 17-year-old Nick--who had his driver’s license suspended for one year by police in relation to a summer car crash. He is also facing a felony charge and possible imprisonment.Nicks car crashHis friend John Graziano suffered brain injury and Hulk hogan may be be sued over this.
Rumors are that this is just a show, a fake divorce, to protect the assets. During the hit show "Hogan Knows Best" the couple were shown to be taking counseling sessions...
However, there are reasons to believe the divorce is real.
19 year old daughter Brooke Hogan is reportedly to not have spoken to her father for a long time and is ready to leave their home in Clearwater and find her own apartment. She has many things planned and many contracts that she wants to continue with on her own after she leaves.Ok, journalism aside, heres my thoughts....
A son who'hs facing possible life imprisonment, a daughter who dresses like a hooker who is leaving her family because she has her own resources her dad help build and a wife, of 24 yrs, ditching him after riding him to the last years of his fame.... yeah, poor Hulk, gotta give to the man for not losing it.
Hulk is old school, but his morals and values aren't appreciated by his family. If it weren't for Hulk, Brooke would have been the new Britney years back.
Just look at Jamie Lynn Spears, shes 16 and pregnant with a 19 yr old guy already looking for an apartment.

I watched a couple of the Hogan shows. I think it is just another round in the circus that is their lives.

wow i've been a big hogan fan since i was a kid watching wrestling. i'm also a fan of the show. this is the first time i'm hearing any of this. the devorce, brooke leaving, his son going to prison! wow that has to suck man. hulk hogan is awesome man i wish he was my dad. the thing shocking me the most is his son going to prison. he won't last at all, he's a spoiled rich brat. hope this all gets fixed cuz hogan's a good guy.

I have been a wrestling fan since I was 5 years old and to me hulk hogan was, is, and always will be the greatest wrestler of all time-bar none! His personal business is just that-personal, its between him and his wife!

It's not true about Jamie-Lynn Spears. That was a rumour back in July this year, I think she would have a baby bump by now. The story changed and it became that it was just a pregnancy scare because of a late period. Who knows, who cares.

Come off it!! Hogan is a fine entertainer, no doubt. But greatest wrestler, i think not. There are many other wrestlers, past and present that display a much greater technical ability and are equally good showmen. Plus, wrestling is all fake and a little homo erotic for my tastes.
As for his personal life.... He kind of gave up the right to a personal life when he agreed to be a media whore. Good luck to him.

Boy JN do I agree with you on this...All the celebrity hype makes me sick...They wanted the fame, now they can deal with it...The other day I read and I quote "Angelina Jolie lost her baby"...I felt bad, thinking she had a misscarraige and it winds up that she couldn't adopt another kid from another country....Didn't feel so bad after that, time to take care of our own ((((to yu))))

John Graziano's doctor says that he maybe in a nursing home for the remainder of his life. Nick was wearing his seatbelt while his 3 friends did not.

Ive seen the show an how could you live with that man controlling every aspect of your life,
putting tracking devices in the daughters car, that creeped me out i got the impression he liked his daughter in a diffrent way.
if you control people eventually they will walk away,

That was already all up in the news. Not to sound heartless, but the thread was about the divorce of Hulk Hogan and not about his children and his childrens friends.
Now I will say that it's a shame about the accident and everything but if it weren't celebrity related would it matter just the same? Not saying accidents do not matter, but it's not like you roam your local papers for accidents and post them on a discussion board for unexplained mysteries. If everyone wants to discuss the accident, post a thread about the accident and mourn for the victims.

As mentioned above. Hulk Hogan is a great entertainer and seems to be an all-around good guy who gave his family a nice comfortable lifestyle. But his wrestling ability was very weak. His finishing move was what ? That leg-drop ?
