Why is God waiting and hasn't come just yet?

Growing up, I wondered if God was waiting for the last soul to be born as if he had a huge bag of souls and waited til it was empty and then the end would come.
Later on in life, I changed it to the last soul being saved as if there would be no more room in heaven and then the end came.

Any thoughts that you have?

i see god as a parent waiting for us to grow to the point we can be taught.

hellfire and brimstone stories ive found are uncreditted so the afterlife and apocalypse are in question for me right now.

we seek out knowledge naturaly he is the source so we may have to find him

Well, I have to admit I haven't read Revelations, but isn't there like certain things that are supposed to happen in the world before Jesus's second coming? Like certain prophecies that have to be fulfilled, or something like that? I guess that's what He's waiting for.

I have read revelations and yes all the prophecies need to be fullfilled, so that pretty much sums it up as far as i understand it.

I like that, God is there waiting for us to call for him when we are ready.

Oh yes, of course. The fullfillment of his word! and Jesus sayeth "No one knows the day or hour of his coming" It could all come true now or sooner than we think, who knows? Until then more souls are born and being saved.

You just asked the million dollar question.

Who knows such things my friend.

Which is why I believe, if Christianity is the true religion, that Armageddon will happen just as soon as everyone stops saying it will. The one day on Earth where no one says we are going to die would be when it would happen.

Waiting for what?

that would be when we least expect it

Apparently he is waiting for George Bush to help Jews in Israel or something...according to another thread.

Anyway, I don't think God is waiting for anything. If there is a God, I assume that he is just watching, and that if some type of Armageddon comes, it will be man's fault, or some obscure cosmic catastrophe. God will then probably shake his head and move on.
