I purchased a USB bluetooth dongle and it wouldn't work, thinking it was a problem with the dongle I took it back and purchased another but it wound't work either. Feeling as though it was only coincidence, I purchased another, but my current one still will not work. I feel that this isn't coincidence but either I'm doing something wrong or my computer won't work with it. Can anyone help me? It will not find devices and will turn itself on and off.

Did a cd come with it to install drivers the device may need.
If not go to the website of the people who made the dongle and search the name of the device on the site and look for any drivers that you can download then install them.

Ive installed the drivers the probelm is that it won't find devices and will turn itself on and off. I was wondering if it was because I installed the drivers myself rather than letting windows find the software for the device.

Then uninstall the driver and let windows do it maybe it will work better.

Uninstall the drivers, run CCleaner to clean the registry.
Put in your card, then let windows Hardware Configuration pop up.
Plop in your driver cd or whatever media it's in.
Then choose the option on the Configuration screen to choose another area to install from.
Then just browse to the media that the drivers are on.
