just a tip...
if you do a search for Mothman or any other such entity you're going to unearth a whole lot of nonsense, depending on where your searching.
I have an E-Copy (PDF) of The Mothman Prophecies if you like. I know its difficult to read on a computer, but its a very enjoyable book that covers a whole range of topics, including the connection to ufology.
Just PM me your email address and I can send it off to you.

Looks like headlights to me too! You can't make out any other features. If it was that close you probably could make out an outline slightly lighter then the background.

A dog, deer, cow, coyote, skunk, it could be anything.

By being only two bright spots in a fleld of black, it conveniently becomes your 'proof' of mothman, bigfoot, chupacabra, wolfman, etc etc.

If you invert the colors you can see nostrals, Im guessing it might be a bear because the nostrals are far from the eyes, and close to eachother.

LOL @ the Jawa theory. xD
However, it is impossible to determine what it is from that photograph. It's something with big eyes that reflect light, so presumably mammal, and it appears to have a long snout. That's about all you can deduce without the eyewitness.

I'm pretty dang sure its either a bear or a wolf. You can see the eyes (obviously) and then you can make out a nose which looks like a nose of either a bear or a wolf. The effect of the glowing eyes are right from the flash of the camera. If someone took that picture and the eyes glowed like that but there was no light or a flash from the camera then and only then could anyone assume it might be the mothman or one of the many forest cryptos out there.

I don't think it could be but it was dark outside so it could...
Things always look creepy at night... *shudders*
Anywho, I think it was either some lights (headlights) or some animal. Or else someone with two flashlights pretending to be Mothman or whatever.

I took the image and ran it through some good enhancing software that I have. After some color tweaking, I could slightly make out the shape of the head. Almost definately canine in nature. Either dog, wolf, coyote, or something along that line. Looking right at the camera, the reflection of the flash in it eyes make them much brighter than they normally appear.

To the OP. The eyes are usually depicted as being red, where these are white.
