PoisonedEternity
I have lived in my house for about two years, here coming up in Febuary. Its been a good house, just a few problems with stuff not being done properly, like improperly installed faucets and wrongly done tile. It was brand new when we bought it. Nothing unusual has ever happened here, except for this eerie feeling I tend to get at night and the occasional door opening for no reason whatsoever. Nothing, unusual of course, until a few weeks ago.

About three weeks ago, I started having trouble sleeping. I'd wake up in the middle of the night SCARED. I'd look around my room and ntohign would be there, but I'd be able to hear stuff creeking and groaning in my room, even when I wasn't moving. Once my whole thing of nailpolish(all glass things) fell off my shelf and broke. That was about a week ago. No explanation really, it is only happening in my room. The only other creepy thing I can think of now( I will add more as they happen) is that I've been leaving my music on while I walk around the house. On four occasions now I have walked out of my door, being sure to shut it like always, all the way so that my dog won't get it. I always stop and let it click before I keep going. I proceeded to the bathroom, my evanescence blasting, while I did my makeup. Then, all of a sudden I heard my door creak open and I walked out into my hallway. No dog, no cat had pushed the door open. So I walk in, and my music is off. Put on pause. My cd player has never done that before, and now that cd player thing has happened four times. I don't get it.

My friend seems to think its linked to the fact I've started doing tarot again, but I have no clue.

Does anyone think this is odd? Any ideas what it might be? Or am I just incredibley paranoid? I could really use some help here, thank you.

Your friend just might be right. When you dabble in the paranormal; sometimes you get more than you bargined for. My personal advice would be to lay of the tarot cards for awhile thumbsup.gif
Blood Angel
Tarot is just reading cards, i wasn't aware that any spirits are involved. However it could be that her house is haunted, or it may be geological disturbances, or it could be faulty electrics coupled with crappy plumbing. Theres nothing "paranormal" about tarot cards.....i have been reading tarot for 2 years, and i have not been affected by any ghostly goings on.

It could be a poltergeist! Did't you or somebody in your house have psychological problems or just hard period lately? alien.gif
PoisonedEternity
I have been going through some emotional times or "hard period" with my relationships between not only my family, my friends, and my love of my life(not boyfriend, long term love interest) and I've been pretty strained. Its been hard.

What are some other signs of a poltergeist?

Hi there.

I think either: your spook doesn't like Evanescence (surely not possible!) or you have a spirit who wants your attention.

Tarot cards are unlikely to bring spirits into your environment. However, spirits can become active in your home at any stage. They don't necessarily have to have some connection to the building. Spirits are attracted to people.

My advice would be twofold:

1: ask your own spirit guides to protect you & to surround you with their guardianship.

2: then ask the spook in your home what it wants. Communicate with it. You might get interesting and good results.

I'm new to this but I have experienced alot of similar things. There is something in your house that does not like loud things or possibly just playing some jokes on you. But if it has been breaking things, then it is possibly a poltergeist. Dealing with poltergeist is sometimes frightening. I don't really know how to deal with poltergeist, but my dad does some sort of protection thingy. My dad is a shamin and shamins deal alot with spirits and with the spirit world. From what I know, you are living in a a ghost infected house. Just ask your angels to guard you.

this reminds me of this one time when i was having a bath, i had put on a cd of classical music and got into my bath, it was playing away and after about 4 tunes into it, it started getting a bit quiet, then eventually it seemed to have switched itself off, so i got out of the bath to check on it.

the cd was jammed on about a minute and a half into the first tune, so i should not have heard anything but a jumping cd after that, however i heard it clear as a bell, however there was other supernatural things happening in the house at around that time, but eventually it all stopped, so all i can say is be patient and u might be lucky.

so spirits are attracted to people.... hmmm.. latley i've been getting a rather strong feeling of insecurity (i guess you could call it) in my room. it's strange when my room was first put together in the basement i had the same feeling. my dog would sit up on my bed and stare, sometimes even grunt-barking at nothing. but only when i turned all the lights off. recently in the past month the same thing has been happening and i get a stange feeling so i sleep with a light on. i've never seen or heard anything, but i just don't feel right..... any ideas blink.gif
oh and i just remembered this just before any of this happened again my raido
would get this strange like buzzing sort of thing going on. it has stoped since then.

I've decided I cannot stand my own paranoia of being in my room and having constant feelings of eeriness and uneasyness shooting through my body. I have chosen to confront what some have called my "spirit, poltergeist, etc." I don't like always feeling uncomfortable in the place I spend most of my time.

So here is my question to you all, how do I go about confronting this wary spirit? What do I do? How do I get it to go away?
Lottie
Sounds like you have been experiencing a form of night terrors, where you wake up and feel terrified etc. Because of this your imagination whether you realise this or not is now playing mind games with you and you are expecting a spirit to be in your house, when more than likely you are just scaring yourself.

Swagger... One thing you must look and recognize is that dogs have a sense. They know when something is there. When they are surpirsed to see something like what you have described, it means that there is a spirit there but it's does not have evil intentions. When your dog starts to bark at it, it means that the spirit has an evil intention and you should watch out. Dogs are very smart, they are an animal that tends to warn you so be aware of that and monitor everything that he does in your room. You'll start to understand a little.

Lottie... it has nothing to do with night terrors. It's different. I watch alot of horror movies, which I do enjoy and sometimes you learn from your experiences. You can relate to what they are doing and the whole context of the film. I definitely know that it's not night terrors. (Don't take this offensively)

PoisonedEternity... sometimes when you confront the spirit, it makes the experiences worst. You see, every year, my dad puts this protection thingy on every door of the house. This helps to protect from spirits but it won't fully protect the place. What you need to do is tell it to go away, you don't want it to be there, and it doesn't belong there. Tell it to go into the light and leave your place. Tell it nicely though. I have this real ghost dvd, and a guy who communicates with the dead says that you should tell the ghost to leave; it won't stay where it is not accepted. After, doing that find a protection spell and cast it on yourself. If this doesn't work, I'll try to find out what is wrong with your house by talking to my dad about what someone should do in that kind of situation.

i always heard that dogs sence those things. but yeh its kind of frightening because my room was made in a quiet part of the basement which remained quiet for 13 years until i decided to move down there. it was only used for storage of things like the christmas tree and whatnot. hope i didn't piss off anything.....

Thanks the for all the comments everyone. Thanks for the info on telling the ghost to leave girlwithacut. I plan on trying the whole dog thing here in a bit....and then if he senses something, I'll try to tell teh ghost its not wanted here.

I believe our land was all just woods beforehand. Nothing was built here, just large amounts of trees. Theres still a very large part of forest about two blocks down our private road. Its a new development, and I don't know who owned the land before. But I don't know how much could have went on in these forests..but I'll check.

Someone mentioned that the ghosts are attracted to people? Could it be a ghost of someone I know if it is one? Or is it just...something? I wonder what draws it here..if it is a ghost.

I believe someone is trying to communicate with you. Please don't be afraid, they aren't trying to be evil only to get your attention. If you are in to the tarot...sit quietly and ask them what they want. Please keep me posted on this.

Kindest regards,
Meem

Swagger, I know how you feel. It is sometimes really creepy when you sense alot of things in your room but you see nothing. You'll be sitting in your room and all of a sudden, your hair on your arm stands up and you get goosebumps all around. I don't really know but somehow I understand that when you feel like someone or something is there, it is really there. Do you know how old your house is? Maybe the spirit is trying it's best to hang on to something that really meant something to it.

PoisonedEternity, Yeah, ghosts are sometimes attracted to people. But it doesn't mean that the ghost is nice. Here's a story that actually happened to my cousin. Her name is Stephanie and you could say we live in the same neighborhood. It happened about two months ago which I forgot the date but I remember the whole experience itself.

Well, one night her dad came to our house knocking on the door. I answered it and he asked to speak to my dad. He said that Stephanie was in her room with the music on kind of loud. She heard a voice coming from downstairs which sounded like her mom yelling for help. She went to investigate and found nothing. When she returned to her bedroom, the stereo was shut off. Then he said that she began to act really weird all of a sudden. So, my dad and me went to their house. Before we went my dad made thing braided string and said something along while braiding it. When we got there her dad didn't want to open the door, so he suggested my dad open the door. When my dad opened the door, she was sitting on the couch and when she saw my dad, she got up and ran upstairs to the bathroom. Her mom chased after her and got into the bathroom too. Somehow she convinced Stephanie to come out. When Stephanie came out, it couldn't stand to look at my dad. Then my dad tied the braided string to her wrist, Stephanie's reaction was "ouch, it's hot". She said that five times and tried to take it off. We waited for a while and she finally fell asleep.

When I returned home, I told my dad what I thought of the whole thing. I said that since we live in a very haunted place, the ghost in her house possessed her. While she went into her room, she let her guards down and that was when she was possessed. The spirit was trying to get her attention and distract her before making it's journey. And by seeing her reaction upon seeing my dad, I knew it was definitely true. Spirits don't like people who know.

Don't bother to contact this person. This is just my suggestion. You can even try to contact it. Who knows if it's a bad or good one. Like they always say, "It's better to be safe then sorry."

PoisonedEternity - we've had a few similar threads on here over the last few years and I've commented on them with the same sort of advice.

I am not a medium, but I have been to psychic/spiritual development meetings and have expanded my awareness of the spiritual world.

Spirits like to manifest or communicate with people. What's the use of a ghost manifesting in a location where nobody is? It wouldn't be seen or experienced. Spirits like to display their varied abilities for people.

In your case, do some meditation prior to everything else. In it, ask your spirit guides and guardians to protect you and aid you when you ask whatever it is to leave you in peace.

When you have done that, simply wait for the next time that something happens that you attribute to the spirit in your home. Speak openly to it, acknowledge it's presence, and say firmly and clearly that you do not appreciate it in your home and you want it to leave. Do not be rude or aggressive. Just be assertive and firm.

The spirit will go. And your guides will assist it.

In truth, this procedure is all that an exorcism is, in essence.

Hope this helps.

Whoa, Loonboy, you sound like a real medium right there. You are very good. I can tell by your replies. It's great that you have expanded your spiritual world. People need to be aware of these things too. thumbsup.gif More power to you!

Don't hesitate to do anything. Just listen to Loonboy and see where it goes from there.
