They will prob have smouthing thought up to say about it although it in realty could be anything even a ufo but from the looks of it is prob of one of the rockerts from the space shuttle after it let go from the spaceship.

My take is that these are some sort of life-forms not wholly physical in nature. Similar to the orbs captured on video in haunted areas and those seen at Crop Circle locations. I have always theorized that if some 23 % of our universe is composed of this Dark Matter substance, and 73% is composed of Dark Energy, then we have to rethink what we call life.
If only 4 % of our known universe is composed of the stuff we humans know as matter, then other forms of life in the universe may be composed of a substance more indicative of where they dwell, ie, a non-physical plane. Some of the oldest text in Human history have told us of beings made not out of flesh and blood, but of light and what they could only describe as smoke. I maintain we humans are alone in the universe because we arrogant men are looking in the wrong places for the wrong type of life.

when the movie gets interesting we have a picture of a pipe. what is this pipe thinging? it sure isn't the tether or the satelite. Was this even part of the original film?

Space debris, dust. If those were UFO's why so many? that is the equal to rush hour in Chicago.

i am sure that is just particles of the tether that now are stuck in orbit around it, with light shining through. the tether was fried which is why it broke, leaving a lot of dust and char around it. and it is the strongest gravitational pull around the particles, so they are probably just going around and around it. i think if they had been something incredibly spectacular, even NASA would have said something; they are pretty blatant!

What is interesting is that these "debris/particles" are very similar to each other in shape and form, normally debris has a n iregular shape and differ from each other. This is not the case.

All i see is tiny pieces of debris near the shuttle. The camera is focused on the tether many kilometers away, the debris regardless of its actual shape spreads out into a circular smudge. As for them appearing and disappearing its most likely them going into or out of the shadow of pieces of the orbiter.

honestly a friend brought this attention to me, what i think is it's not Dust (dust dosnt exist in space because there's nothing to create a dust, just fine granes, if it were dust it'd be spherical), but i think they could be Orbs or Energy, they a only appeared after the tether broke, which a severed tether allows movement of things out the end which is exposed (no electrical insulator to keep it in) which allows the electricity to flow freely, could they be orbs of energy (electrcity)? if you watch them though some flicker and some dont, pay carefull attention because some of them change a slight shape as well.
