Almost every night in the spring, summer and fall I sit on my favorite chair on my backyard deck and watch the sky and most of these nights my wife joins me. We saw countless satellites, "moving stars", falling stars and of course airplanes. Some of the "moving stars" would disappear or light up just before disappearing, others would change course, etc. I know that they are UFOs but because they were always so far up in the sky you cannot help it but have some reservations. Any way, on August 30, 2007, at 11:32 PM a solid triangle with one amber light at each corner glided slowly over my house ( I live in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada) heading South-South-East. being night I couldn't appreciate the distance from the ground but each side was the same length of one rod of my TV antenna. Because one side of the UFO at one point line-up with my antenna rods it was easy to see the length of each side of the triangle which, by-the-way, was an equilateral triangle. I will venture to say that I believe that the UFO was no higher than 1000 feet but like I said it was night. This was the closest UFO I have seen so far. It was flying so slow that if it would have been a plane it would have crashed on my roof. And I want to mention that it didn't make a sound, not even a sound. What was the most interesting was the color of the lights - very subdued amber. I have seen pictures of triangle UFOs and video clips and all these UFOs had brighter lights. I thought about this a lot and the only explanation I could come up with is that the lights are not really lights but their mod of propulsion and flying as slow as it did perhaps didn't need to use to much energy. Maybe you fine people might agree with me or you might have other explanation.

They are up there!!! Just keep watching the sky day and night and you will see them for sure.

Forget your sceptic remarks. I believe you saw it becasue I saw the same thing and i live in ireland. My triangle was like a 60 deggres set square in the sky. My experience of sky watching is the very same to yours but i have never seen a sattalite change direction but i have seen them stop and luckily saw a star just star moving like a satillite The triangle i saw was smaller than yours but it still was close enought that it should have made a sound. Again the triangle was so slow it would have dropped out of the sky. The lights didn't look amber they looked like just normal stars

The further things are, the slower they appear to move, so you could have easily mistaken it with a military craft due to it's distance. ( of course now I expect you to say it was very near )

Perhaps its that new black spy airship, its annoying that if it is the military, they need to assure the people that they are not seeing someone elses technology flying over the skies.
