One Message for Man
As a lover of books, I'm always curious as to the next shocking title "just around the corner". With the inclusion of the internet as a medium for publishing, quite a bit of my spare time these days is spent perusing the latest titles online. For me the most gripping introduction to a work of horror fiction with aspects of the paranormal, concerns a book that has yet to be released! Here is a link to a very brief introduction:

Lay Buried Among Us

"Lay Buried Among Us" was considered to be so disturbing, that it was 'pulled' prior to publication on the internet. Hopefully this shocking work will one day be made available. I took the author's pen name as my display name for this forum.

Which paranormal and horror books have you found most shocking ? The web certainly has a number of related lists, and they all make for very interesting reading. However, in order to add an extra dimension to comparing titles, if possible, try and include a few words as to why a given book held so much appeal. Just wish there was more time available each day to devote to reading!

I hate it when they do that! Why don't they just let people decide for themselves if they want to read it or not. Now I'm even more curious what the book is about.

Yea leave it to the readers to decide what to read! Who is to decide what I read and what I don't? Whoever decided to pull the book, all I can really say is mind your own damm business and worry about yourself. Is it just me or as the years go by, there is more censorship than ever before?!

how can I read any of that? i doubt it's that disturbing

Why do I get this feeling that it is just like the "Special Unrated" endings of horror movies that get released on DVD? You know the ones - they allow the company to sell a couple more copies and end up as being pretty tame.

The most scarey Ghost Story i have ever read was in an anthology of stories put together by a famous comedian from Britain and Ireland called Dave Allen.. The story is set on an Island in one oo the large lakes in Ireland and involves an elemental.. Sadly, i dont remember the title...

Uhmm...but they are not too descriptive about what the book is all about. Do you know any more info about it?
