We've not done the whole Santa thing with our daughter. I think that to let children believe in supernatural beings from an early age is a way to damage critical reasoning skills from the word go. That goes for the tooth fairy as well and all the other supernatural claims. I can find enough interesting things that are real and tangible to amaze my child that to cloud this world full of information with untruths and pollute the logical system of thought with illogical magic is not the right thing to do.

That sounds lovely Brave...but as you know...Corporations do what is best for their stockholders...that is what they are suppose to do. There can be no retreat from the MSGs or Aspartame by the Corps. The reason they cannot retreat is because if they ever...EVER...even for a second, went along with the ideal of their products being 'poisonous' then the whole thing would mushroom into a lawsuit of Obese Proportions and they simply would rather have people fat and stupid than to pay huge billion dollar settlements.

I think it all boils down to money...and hey...a fat and stupid and hungry populace is only going to keep filling their Corporate Coffers so why should they care. The fat and stupid stockholders are happy and that is all that matters to them...that is ALL that matters to them.

The fat and stupid hungry populace are in ignorance as to what is in their food and are not being told (though the good news is that much of this information is finally coming out).

QUOTE
Therefore: we must each take Personal Responsibility for our own actions and make choices that always equal good choices....if enough people started NOT buying those products as a result of better choices, then things might change...but as it is...only about 2% of any population either get it or care. That doesn't provide very high numbers for effecting change on a Global Economical Scale.

Alot of it does boil down to money. Even icke says that in the article. But let me show you a little equasion that will give a deeper meaning as to why so much poison is allowed to reach our brains. The equasion goes like this:

Money = power

Alot of the corporate managers etc are in no real knowledge that all the poison is to suppress the masses and so they do it for money or because they have to answer to the stokebrokers. But I personally believe that there are hidden hands of influence which have a much more calculating agenda than 'money'.

Of course we have to take responsibility for our actions. But what is the average working poor joe meant to do when everything at the supermarket (basically his source of food and therefore survival) is infected with these poisons?

I hate it when Christians say that. (Not saying you are or are not)

I hate the theory between the "fat gene". Or the mentality it comes with. It basically tells everyone it's not their fault they are fat and they say it just comes with genetics. "It's not my fault I'm fat", but yes it is. If both you and you're parents are overweight, it's probably because they passed on their poor eating habits. Do realise that there is different metabolisms, yes, but if you have a slow metabolism then don't scarf down a couple of Big Macs daily and take no effort whatsoever to lose that weight.

I just love using these cartoons.

Moe...isn't it interesting that when I make my patients aware of certain excitotoxins in their food source, and after removing them from their diet...they lose the weight, and they also lose their cravings and habits of overeating. They begin to desire more healthier foods, because their mind/body connection becomes more in tune and they eat what their body craves....which is what it's suppose to do. It's not in our evolutionary genes to dig our graves with a knife and fork.

Please don't detract from the real issue here by using insulting cartoons.

I hold Christianity in the same bracket as Father Christmas - an unnecessary fantasy involving the supernatural.

Yeah, well there are plenty of threads to take that up in. Just go to the Spirituality vs Skeptics forum.

InnerPeace,
The more I look and read labels and information about MSGs and Aspartame the more alarmed I become about what is in my cabinet. Hmmm...it didn't stop me though from consuming 3 corny dogs and 8 ozs of Diet Cherry 7 UP. I could have had something else...but I was just too lazy to fix anything. Seriously. But, I certainly don't, won't make that a habit. I quit smoking a long, long, long time ago...because I didn't want all the serious health issues when I got old. I am attempting to drastically limit my diet from these toxins for the same reason. But the more I look at labels...the more I realize that practically everything in our cabinet is chocked full of it. At least the Campbell's Soups say Monosodium Glutonate...most don't...and all this time I thought 'natural flavors' was like concentrated flavor from that particular taste...like concentrated grapes or whatever...NO it is MSG and it goes by all kinds of names.
And what scares me is that the blood brain barrier is being destroyed by all of this junk.

Back to Whole Foods I go...with a vengeance!

This discussion makes the whole Santa thing a bit moot doesn't it?

Is this post for real?
Endlessly
well, would you like a skeletal santa? I think people should ask children what the think instead of making assuptions like that.In Australia A santa was fired for saying "ho ho ho" its banned cause apparently its offensive. Ask the kids if theyre scared or offended? they werent.
belial
Santa looks a dirty old perv, i am sorry but he does. Sitting there hiding behind that fake beard holding onto the kids pretending to take an interest in what they want for xmas...

I took a double take when I saw InnerPeace, huh.gif lol.

I thought that perhaps you had eaten too many corny dogs & diet cherry 7-up... and was experiencing brain fog, grin2.gif , but soon realized your intent.

Your gentle reproof is noted. blush.gif I'm a little passionate about this, so my heart gets in the way of my head sometimes. I get frustrated.

That's the key at this stage, as it's near impossible to eliminate these neurotoxins completely from our diet.

My apologies if this got a little off topic. dontgetit.gif

Just in case you're reading this Santa...I will be sure to leave you "homemade" cookies, and as always...made with love. wub.gif
