Short movie about Fermi's Paradox (also known as the "where are they?" question.

Wow, that echos my position (exactly) as regards Fermi's Paradox! thumbsup.gif

Dr. Jill Tarter PhD, Director of the S.E.T.I. Institute’s observation (the lady astronomer in the video) seems to be a great deal more passive as she gets older. As her stance was once a lot stronger against the existence of extraterrestrials being here or even near earth. I always thought it funny how as these scientist types get older they seem to move over into great leaps of faith. Like Dr. Carl Sagan before his death. They never want to be the one to step out on what they know or suspect to be the truth while they are alive and healthy. They seem to find it safer to stay on the side of caution while other more bolder scientists go out and prove things like "what we consider life may be a narrower view than we should be adopting" "the universe does not act like it should the further away from our galaxy we explore" "the laws of physics do not behave the way we thought" (See some of my other articles) We as a human species are so arrogant, just because we know a segment of the laws of physics we assume that scope of knowledge stretches from the beginning to the end, when in fact, we could not have even reached its half-way point.
She also speaks of the fact that there may also be clues and artifacts left by other intelligent life in our solar system. Yet Dr. Michio Kaku's assessment of this seems more correct, in that we, mankind, have not been looking in the correct places in the right way. I mean, I have even heard Story Musgrave (Former Astronaut) say, "If only these alien abductees would bring us back a drop of blood or some piece of equipment to prove that they were here." This is s foolish statement to make, I mean, that's like asking a lion out on the African Savannah to secrete away the tranquilizer dart or a book of matches from the biologist that is tagging and studying it. How very silly, where would he lion hide it? And I ask where in the world would a human hide an instrument, star chart, or drop of blood from an ET? When we have supposed intelligent scholars making statements like this you can plainly see that they do not really want to get at the truth, they merely want to defend their profession. In short, if a super intelligent race doesn't want to be found, they won't be found, period.
I believe the second of the two most popular Fermi Paradox solutions, which say that earth is indeed some kind of special or holy project in which we are quarantined against outside interference and contact. This is both what is told to those who have claimed to make alien contact and it supports what is said in the Holy Bible and other of our oldest human text. disgust.gif

That's interesting, can you provide the passage or passages in the Bible that support this?

IamsSon

Sure, but know that I am a devout Christian and I do believe in God. I also believe as the evidence supports, that God intended for man to grow in our understanding of Him as we grew in our technological and spiritual world. But we have not, instead we have kept God in stasis still looking at Him as the image Michael Angelo rendered in his paintings. God is much more than that and the bible, if we look at it from our present-day perspective has proof.

Genesis Chapter 4:9-10 reads;
9 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" He said, "I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?" 10 And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground.
This seems to give proof of a supernatural intelligence at work as how could the writer of Genesis, Moses, have know of Genetic signatures of blood in those days? "the voice of your brother's blood?" Today we say signature as not many ancient people used writing as identifiers because not many of them wrote. Yet the voice was used in the scripture as a signifier of recognition. We know today that mother sea lions can distinguish the lone voice of her pup from the thousands crying out, as can penguins. So just like Dr. Henry Lee, God knew just from blood on the ground, who it belonged to.

Genesis 6:4
4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
The word "Sons of God" in its original writings says Nephelim which mean "Those who came down" or "The ones who came down". This was the first start of an imbalance in mankind and it precipitated the great flood where in God started over.

Ezekiel 1:1-25
Tells of the vision the prophet witnessed. Many men far smarter than I have ascertained what he saw was a UFO. I will post a snippet detailing this from my book on my blog here.
The list goes on from dinosaurs to Bigfoot in the bible. Where we get it wrong is in our present day interpretation. We forget that technical words and language didn't exist back then. So many scientists instead use this to their defense by saying the passages are mere allegory in nature.
