Hi,
Why is it baffling? The "item" in the water doesn't move, roll, undulate or anything.

Well, I would think there is some kind of movement. To keep themselves afloat or even breathe.

Thats cool, but reptiles, namely lizards of which are good swimmers tend to make a bit of a slpash when travelling it water. Theye use their tails as a rudder, in turn gives them the side to side enertia. Zig zag somewhat.
This animal doesnt seem to make much movement at all. These sort of animals are like dinosours??
Theres 'something' there......................
but I dont actually think Its a reptile though.
Interesting footage, the head almost has the shape of a crocodile...... it could be anything.

It was moving through the water. Weither it was moving under its own power or was pushed in the question.
The rocks in the background show it was moving to the right along the shore. I looks pretty small. Some of the humps in the photos appear to be of different sizes, shapes and spacing.
I've seen stumps and logs in rivers that look a lot like this. One in Crater Lake here in Oregon, floated around in the lake weighted by a rock stuck in the roots for several years. Looked like an arm or long neck sticking out of the water. I've heard that logs do wash into Loch Ness now and then.
