Personally, I found it to have some merit; something showing up on video or photos may not actually be what it first appears to be. This is a pretty good lesson when dealing with the subject of UFOs IMO.
Oh, and it was funny too!

When I worked for the council at one its recycling centres we had a camera out side the site that people could look at to see if the site was busy. One day I received a phone call off a woman complaining that there was a spider on the camera and it was eating a fly which was disgusting.
I decided to take a look on the computer myself and it was funny because it looked like it was attacking the cars as they drove into the site. Alas I had to remove the poor thing because the woman put an official complaint in because she did not like it.
