So MGS 2 and 3 didn't make it to the XBox? MGS1 wasn't remade for the Gamecube?
Business is business regardless of petty feelings. Next MGS4 gets ported to the 360, bye that time Sony won't care about it because everyone who wanted it for the PS3 would have bought it already and Konami gets a boat load of more cash for taping into the 360 user base. There is no reason not to do the same thing they did with MGS2 and 3.
Sony didn't shell out the cash to keep GTA exclusive...or Resident Evil...or Devil May Cry...or Final Fantasy...the list goes on
Nobody really cared much about Twin Snakes, as it was old hat with new graphics (besides, there were few who actually bought the GC console), MGS2 on Xbox was a port (and a supposedly awful one too, at that), but MGS3 was never released on any other console than the PS2.
Would Sony care if MGS4 got ported to the 360 later? Probably not. They've achieved what they wanted to; get a game that touts the Blu-ray format and gives the PS3 a sales spike. But if it was to be ported to the 360, the entire code would have to be rewritten and split up over multiple discs, the Sony and Apple references would have to be removed and the audio would have to be compressed. Which would all result in a gimped version of MGS4. I really can't see Kojima agreeing to do that (the man is supposedly a perfectionist and a bit of a Sonyfriend.. Like Itagaki loves Microsoft and the Xbox brand).
Besides, GTA and Resident Evil were never exclusives (GTA was a timed exclusive, but not a console-exclusive), and DMC 3 was also available for PC.
And then there's this...
