wink2.gif What is on your wish list this year? What have you bought for other people, and have you spent to much? laugh.gif
SS79
I have nothing on my wish list really apart from SNOW cause my kids have been wishing really hard lol .

I have spent an absolute fortune i have three kids of my own and a huge family to buy for so its not a cheap time also its my youngests first birthday tommorow so thats more expense but were just gonna have a little tea party for her and a few gifts .

To be honest as much as i love christmas for the kiddies . This year has been the most stressful . and i still have lots more to buy and so little time left and we all have terrible colds at the moment * insert scream here *

The chrsitmas dinner/family gathering usually makes all the stress worthwhile though especially as i dont have to do the cooking this year wink2.gif

ohmy.gif oh know you poor thing! I hate colds, and i am in predicament to (huge, huge family)and still have lot's to do and two christmas day's to organize.Maybe,if we had coupons where i am i could have traded them in for a discount at the asylum!
MissMelsWell
I don't really celebrate christmas, never have... by my sister and her family does so I do get something for my neices.

This year, I got my 4yo neice these great dolls for her b-day which was a couple of weeks ago. They're about the same size and type as Barbie, but they're WAY more appropriate for a child. they have cute clothes, incredibly sweet faces, and they're full posable unlike Barbie. They're called "Only Hearts Club" dolls. I'd urge any mom, aunt or grandma to look at them for the little girls in their life.

For Christmas, I've purchased the horses that go with the dolls and some additional clothes to go with them. My neice is obsessed with these dolls, she just loves them.

And, while my daughter and I have never really celebrated Christmas, she did celebrate her 20th b-day this month, and she's going to school overseas so I'm not seeing a lot of her. This year, my whole family chipped in to get her a new laptop for her b-day. I also wanted to give her a gift to her that's a little more sentimental for her 20th and got her a really pretty sapphire and diamond ring. Her first real peice of real "fine" jewelry. I'm hoping she likes it. I've decided to wait and give it to her when we go to see my sister and neices in Oregon this weekend. She should be quite surprised since we don't normally give gifts at Christmas time.

All I want is for my college books to get here. And all I've bought anyone is some college books that I sent to myself... Yeah, it's going to be a pretty boring christmas.

My Christmas wish...my car payments and loans to be waived, for the whole balance.

As for everyone else, I just gave 'em each a roll of toilet paper.

I don't really care what I get this year, just as long as I'm able to get everyone something they'll like in time.

I got my brother Bioshock for XBox 360... for my mother a chocolate freshwater pearl necklace... I'm thinkin about a gift certificate to this golf restaurant called Frog Hair for my dad, they have golf simulation games and he's a golf nut so hopefully that'll do him good during the winter... Ok so that's my family... now for the hard part;

The girlfriend... We've got a ski trip planned with reservations made in February as a gift to eachother for Christmas and Valentines day (talk about thinking ahead, that was her idea thumbsup.gif )...... ummm well lets see, she bought a pair of sweatpants she likes and told me i can pay her for them and give them to her as a gift (talk about taking the fun outta that)... and she wants a cheap calendar for her room..... but I want to get her something else too that'll make her really happy and surprise her... please ladies, suggestions welcome desperately needed

P.S. She just got a Wii so maybe something cool for that?

Ok, crtbud... I have a good one for your dad if you haven't completed that one yet.

The swiss watch company ESQ (which is owned and operated by Movado) makes a stunning looking dress watch that has a "golf ball" textured face and comes in a great display box with two ESQ marked golf balls. It's not entirely cheap, but you can find it on overstock.com. I got one for a friend and he LOVES it. Overstock is still shipping 2nd day and overnight air for the holidays.

The girlfriend is harder. You obviously don't have any problem buying jewelry--you selected well with the pearls for your mom (the brown fresh waters are very hip this year)... most sporty girls actually appreciate an understated bracelet or watch that appeals to their girly side, but isn't so fussy that they feel burdened by it. Skaggen makes some nice slim, comfortable, watches. The hot metal color this year is rose gold (it's a pinkish metal color) or DKNY is making a lot of great antiqued brown colored metal band watches.

OR since it sounds like she's into sports and outdoors... try a beautiful Pashmina cashmere scarf... they're not cheap (anywhere from $50-$150 depending), but she will probably really enjoy it (especially for the ski trip). Overstock had a few and bluefly.com has them in every color and pattern. The typical dept. stores carry them too.

Those are my suggestions!

All I really want for Crimbo is to see my family, and a new MP3 player. And I'm getting both (as far as I know).

I want nothing for Christmas, its gotten too commercial and it isnt about giving anymore its about recieving and I dont want any part of it this year,At least that is what my greedy family members are fighting about right now,My stinking little brother in law beats his Baby's momma and is walking around like hes some Gift to the world and Christmas has been canceled this year.We used to draw names and buy that person a gift but ever since"GUSTABO SOTO" decided he could do what ever he wants to in this world noone wants to be around him and his greedy, woman beating, drug dealing wanna be,selfcentered, criminal, thieving ass,we decided not to draw names in fear that we might get his name .I invite all those who hate people like that to send this Idiot some coal and it would be great for people all over the world to send this "BOY, hes not what we call a man" hate mail right to his front door.Hell heres his address for anyone who wants it. send hate mail to: GUSTABO SOTO 2424 Montalba ave ,Dallas Texas 75228. heck if anyone wants to kick his ass just come on down and bring some sticks and stones to break his bones and give him the Christmas he diserves,He makes Sadom look good," Hes got a big mouth but no back bone and is deffentaly scared of the police, this fool need to be in Jail for ever and a day,I HAVE NO LOVE FOR HIM,so please anyone reading this send him hate mail please. mad.gif thumbdown.gif thumbdown.gif
you ask what I want for Christmas" for this fool to leave and never come back".I dont hate many people but this piece of garbage takes the cake.

Wow thanks for all the suggestions Mels! grin2.gif I was actually looking at thtet Swiss ESQ watches today at the mall. I don't know if I can afford one for him, but I'm definitely going to check that out.

I just got back from the mall actually and didn't see your reply until just now, but I know Alanna really wanted another controller for her Wii so I got her that plus it came with a little game package and I bought the nunchuck(sp?) to go with it as well. Not the usual gift for a girlfriend but I thought I'd mix it up this year. I also got her the sweatpants and a calendar for 2008(loves her calendars)... I went well over the spending limit we both agreed to so I'm leaving it at that I think.

That scarf sounds like a good surprise, "because I felt like it" gift for sometime before the ski trip though grin2.gif

Ya, the ESQ watches are expensive in the malls... my suggestion is to buy them online. Overstock.com has good prices on them, as does thewatchery.com

Overstock was where I saw the golf watch though--it's $109.00, regularly $200 original.gif

The only thing I want is a Neo (portable wordprocessor thingy) so I can write wherever I want to instead of stuck behind my computer screen.

My Dad's getting a year's worth of house-cleaning, my Mom's getting a really nice professionally printed book of her own poetry (we aren't supposed to get her anything)... I'm not going through my whole family, don't worry.

We don't really get a lot for people. My kids will get the most (groan) because they're kids. We adults usually get one $50 or below item for each other. We have fun hanging out Christmas Eve, scarfing down cookies and half-watching the old Christmas movie classics.

Mmm... Christmas Whish List...

1- Naturally, spending time with my family, specially with my little cousins. They're really, really funny. And... I wanna spend time with the kids I used to see every Saturday morning. I dunno if they're going to the amusement park this Saturday because of a mistake I made when compiling the list of the kids (I had to deliver it on Sunday, but I got confused and... well, just got it ready yesterday). I would feel very very bad if they don't go sad.gif

2- I want my dad to be a little less hysterical, my mom to have more energy (she's always saying she's tired sad.gif ), my brother to be a little less selfish, my sister to find a good boyfriend and that I don't be such a wuss when it comes to girls.

3- If we're talking about material stuff:
a) Infinite booze!! Scratch that, infinite tequila!! grin2.gif
cool.gif That badass definite version of Blade Runner in Blu-Ray. It's just my fav movie, by far yes.gif
c) In the videogame front, The Orange Box for PC, or Zack & Wiki or Zelda for the Wii

I can't get much for my friends or family, since right now all my fortune is about 40 miserable bucks. And I'll avoid the "but they've always got me" card, since that could lend itself to a big number of easy jokes tongue.gif
