Full Version: FWed email! Does it ever end?
What is the matter with people. I get an endless barge of jokes from friends. I get much less spam than I do FWed from my friends. I would much rather get a sort note; how ya doin' , I am doing what ever, Type at ya later. I like jokes as much as the next person, but finding 20 a day in my email is a bit much. I set up a friend with her very own email address for me she sends out 5-10 Fwed jokes a day.

Just hit delete and email them all asking them not to email you any jokes then...
At least your friends think of you and want to make you smile.

i never read email with more than 2 FW
one thing that gets me about fwding emails, is that ppl dont use the bcc to slot the email address in.. so i can go back and retrieve everyone elses email address and send them cr@p too.. i also dislike those emails that if you dont forward them on.. you will have badluck. lol the only badluck it causes it to take up precious space

I hate the ones that have a silly story about a wish coming true then then the email says scroll down and make a wish then forward it to atleast 10 people to make it come true.
And the worst part is......................................People actually believe it and even worse do it. How sad
I remember one that said something like, Oh my dad died and I was really upset and I saw this email and I made a wish for my dad to come back to life, then the next day my dad was in my house alive and well. This is true so you best send this to 10 people and make a wish and it will come true.

I don't even bother to check forwarded messages anymore. I eventually stopped when they started saying stuff like "forward this if you are against <insert cause here>". Yeah, I am against drugs, child abuse, rape, ect but I am still not forwarding your email.
I never forward anything like that. Great thread, this is one of my huge pet peeves - spread the word so people realize how annoying this is!!!
The worst are those that say it's bad luck if you don't forward them, so-and-so didn't forward this and got hit by a truck the next day! Or if you don't forward this, you're not a good Christian/don't love your country/think all puppies should die, etc. I must be really evil since I trash em all, and so far I haven't been hit by a truck.

jokes don't bother me as much as those damn religious FW emails. a simple non discript prayer for a sick friend/relative ? no problem but this other crap.
Now my friends and family know I'm not christian , I've asked them to not send these Prayer to St. so and so or jesus yadda yadda to 8 people in 8 min and your wish/prayer will come true crap. YET THEY CONTINUE !
it's pure superstition. I haven't heard anyone say it ever worked ! I could send one out that says hop up and down on one foot and chant ' I do believe in William Shatner' 5 times and make a wish and it will come true . and guess what ? It could happen !
ugh. be it lighted candle , red rose, dead saint , baby jesus or doe eyed 'missing' child... they all go to the same place - the garbage.
but why don't people listen ? It's worse than jehovah witnesses !
just as bad are the send this to 10 people in 5 minutes and your phone will ring , or you'll get paid $$$ ect...............gggrrrrrrrrr
