A little girl owns this cat big orange tabby named Ginger. Ginger always ran away into the Neighbors house through a broken screen on a window. The neighbor was a friendly old lady named Gretchen. Gretchen always brought back Ginger to the little girl. One day Ginger broke Gretchen's valuable ming vase just as gretchen got home from grocery shopping so Gretchen hits kitty with a broomstick which causes Ginger to charge out the open door and run up a tree. The little girl calls the fire department to come get Ginger down. When they arrive the fat fire chief climbs the tree. Ginger is traumatized and scratches the chief but he manages to get the terrified cat down. Kitty is returned to the little girls arms and the firemen begin to leave. Just then Ginger claws the girls face and runs onto the road only to be crushed by the oncoming fire engine.
