Well, the fish being poisonous and all is real. That's why its considered a delicacy in Japan, because the chef has to be an expert on taking the poison away from the fish.

As a side note, it has been said that the poison of this fish is used to make "zombies" .

I had to have a laugh at this topic. This myth was an episode of The Simpsons. Homer unknowingly ordered a puffer fish and thought he had 24 hours to live. It's beyond me why puffer fish would even be considered edible when there are so many fish of the non-deadly variety. I would hate to think of dried up fish as my last meal, Maybe if it was KFC or a nice steak then it would be worth the risk lol.
