movie that should not have been made

The never ending story 2

I saw this quote and it got me thinking what movies should have never been made? They can include remakes.

My list

Spice World

Jurassic Park 3
The italian job remake
House of wax
Saw 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 etc

i need to think of more

Jurassic Park III would be mine by far. JPI is my alltime favourite movie and JPIII just completely tainted the series. I have the boxset so I'm pretty sure JPIII is in there, but I'll never know for sure because it's not like I actively seek it out. I could go on forever listing movies that I find crap and pointless, for example Catwoman, Crossroads, Alone in The Dark, and majority of the sequels out there that were released only to capitalize on the popularity of the first movie. For me personally, X-Men 3 deserves a mention because seriously, wtf was that?
Atheist God
As far as X-Men 3, Spider-Man 3, Jurassic Park 3 among other sequels etc. it's not that they should not have been made it's they should have been made better. Even Catwoman could have actually been a good movie if it was done right.

There are some movies however that should not have been made like The Fog remake, Spice World among others.

Many of the movies mentioned here could have been done well and just weren't so again it's not that they should not have happened it's just they could have been better.

It was just awful. Inexcusably terrible. With their budget, you would think they could afford more script re-writes.

Right off the top of my head...Joe Dirt. Not even Christopher Walken's appearance could salvage that movie...no.gif

The previews were what made me think it was bad! Apparently, my friends aren't adept in sizing up films as I am!

Terminator 3.

Terminator 3 wasn't that bad of a movie...

Sure it wasn't as good as the first 2 but it was still pretty good... People blamed Mostow for not having Linda Hamilton etc and before the movie came out labeled it crap... Fact is Linda Hamilton not being in this movie was Cameron's fault as he refused to helm the film because he's apparently 'past' that in his career... Thats right he thinks he's too good to make another Terminator flick.

Arnold may have looked older but he was still amazingly cut for a 55 year old guy.

Ugh.... I could go on and on with all those movies that you've seen that you thought were... "horrible" But I'm a constant B movie watcher (I should have been a movie critic...) Here's some movie's you've probably never seen...and never want to see...

Stop or I'll Shoot (Might be off on the title, but it's got william shatner in it)

Dracula 3000

Blood and Donuts

Whatever

Super Troopers 2

I think anyone associated with these movies (directors, actors, casters, EVERYONE) should be summarily executed. As I pretty much wanted to shoot myself for watching each one of these movies. (Sad enough I actually watched through all of each of these movies. Dracula 3000 took me 3 restarts to actually watch it all...and I still haven't seen it from start to finish.)

As much as a lot of people will disagree with me I'm sure....

Resident Evil was CRAP ...
Waterworld (or pretty much any movie with Kevin Costner unless it's a baseball movie)
Swimfan (the film should have been drowned)
The Matrix 3 -- terrible.
Speed
Wild Wild West with Will Smith

I'm sure I could think of dozens more... but too sleepy now.

I agree with all of these.

Resident evil should have remained true to the video game plot than tried to alter it.

Heck I even wanted to here that corny line " You the Master of Lockpicking "

Mortal Kombat('s).
The great escape - after 18 christmas's with that playing on each one. It gets seriously annoying.
Spongebob Square pants movie - after they cancelled Gargoyles in exchange for Spongebob, I hate the show.
Toy Story 2 - it tainted Toy Story 1.
Epic Movie.
Miracle on 34th street - okay, the kid was good in Matilda. But she's very annoying.
Starwars episode 2 and 3.
Matrix 3.
King Kong - 2005.

Resident Evil was merely OK... the second one was CRAP (lame Nemesis fight anyone?) and I haven't bothered in watching the third.
The Matrix 3- Yeah, it was a letdown. A HUGE letdown. Specially since it came out for my birthday and I expected something as good as the second one, at least.
Speed- I don't have much memories of that one. The second one was awful.
And don't even get started on Wild Wild West.

Some other pictures I remembered:
- Universal Soldier 2 (Oh my God! A rebel computer is trying to kill us and we need to alert the authorities! What are we gonna do? Oh, I have an idea: let's go to the stripper's club and see if there's a computer in the manager's office!! tongue.gif)
- The first live-action Garfield movie. Jennifer Lowe Hewitt was the only thing worth seeing, but for that you've got the Internet wink2.gif
- Crossroads. Yeah, the one with Britney Spears. I watched five minutes and I wanted to die.
- Van Helsing. I thought it COULD be good. Werewolves and Kate Beckinsale, plus the guy from The Mommy (which could have meant good campy fun)? Awful. Dracula is a friggin wuss and the "Lion-King" like ending it's laughable. Speaking of which...
- The Mummy Returns. The first one wasn't a jewel, but it was pretty funny movie in the vein of the old Indy Jones movies (and if they screw that one... no.gif). The second one was unnecesary. Yeah, more FX and The Rock, sorry, a CGI Rock, for 2 minutes, but it wasn't as funny as the first one sad.gif

That's all I can think of.

I agree with everything but Speed.
If it was awful, they wouldn't of made 'Speed 2' and that should of been on the list.

Forgot about Wild Wild West.
It would of been somewhat good if they didn't turn it into a comedy. It would of been better if it was a drama/thriller movie.

Never planned to watch it, but thanks for the heads up. By lame I assume the Tyrant doesn't get killed by a rocket launcher, right?

As for Rush Hour, the first one was pretty funny. But the second one... laaaame yes.gif

The tyrant gets killed by those laser beams that slice people in the mansion. It was a really crappy tyrant battle. They spent more time showing zomie battles then get to last big main boss character and it is over in a few minutes.

The Bee Movie
Disturbia
The Simpsons movie (HUGE let down)
Star Wars Episode 1, 2 and 3
Happy Feet (or any other talking penguin movie for that matter)
Pirates of the Caribean 2 and 3 (I say 2 only because it was a lame attempt to restart the franchise)
Any Resident Evil movie (especially 3)
Walk Hard (I haven't seen it yet, but by the way I see it it's just c*ck joke after c*ck joke)
Beowulf
AVP (well, it's debatable, but if the AVP R doesn't kick a*s, then yes, AVP shouldn't have been made)

I thought Disturbia wasn't bad for a knockoff of Rear Window.

And I think Walk Hard deserved to be made just for their awesome For Your Consideration ads

The new Rambo is going to kick ass. The old teaser trailer was much better, however, seeing as it showed all the violence.

All the Resident Evils are great, too, especially 3. I will agree that the Tyrant fight was very lacking, though. It started out cool and all of a sudden...it just ended.

Let's see...Miami Vice was truely an AWEFUL movie. I can't believe the producers actually thought the script for it was actaully good enough to be turned into a film. Probably the most boring movie I've ever had the displeasure of witnessing. Also, Date Movie, Epic Movie, and all that crap were absolutely pointless. If you're going to make a comedy, try making it funny. I haven't seen a lot of really bad movies since those, though.

i agree with the simpsons movie it should have been an extened episode on tv

the rocky movies

Walk Hard really wasn't that big a let down, but it was really slow in some areas and just toooo much singing.

Saw 3+ just all sucked, can't really beat the first two.
House of Wax
Scarface (ya shaddup it sucks).

For some reason many here seem to utterly dislike the third sequel, no matter what movie series it might be. May I guess that you also hate The Return of the King and seriously believe that the series should have been finished with The Two Towers? LOL

Avoid all movies directed by german director Uwe Boll. For some odd reason he seems to have made it his lifes quest to slaughter various kinds of video games by adapting them into serious crappy movies. I can't be bothered to mention any of his works. Go to Idmb if you are curious about them.

I never want him to stop making movies. First of all, he pretty much single handedly supports the Vancouver film industry when things get slow. Second of all, they're so so so so bad. So bad that it's incredibly entertaining to watch. If anyone wants to hear some really fantastic Uwe Boll stories, send me a message. The guy is effing crazy. God bless him.

Movie that shouldn't be remade, will be completelty awful, and is entirely inexcusable? Escape from New York. Directed by Brett Ratner. Gross.
