Ahha 2012.. THE END
I haven't seen you for quite a while, I was down the HOLE just passing time.
We ate the food, we drank the wine, everybody was having a good time
Except you...
You were talking about the end of the world.

2012 It's such a load of crap...
Every culture predicts 'the end of the world' at one time or another.
Who remembers 1999, which was was touted for the years as the end of the world? laugh.gif
Ooops now's it's been moved forward to 2012... which funny enough wasn't mentioned before 1999.
I've watched this BS grow and grow... It's so sad.

Besides, don't worry about it, there's not a lot you can do about it in the first place. thumbsup.gif
Just remember, all previous predictions have one thing in common; they were, without exception all wrong.
Lt_Ripley
2012 is the end of a cycle on the Mayan calander , not the end necessarily of the world. nor does it state such.

but with crazy xtians and armmageddon thinking and this to compound we just could bring a self fullilling prophesy.

too bad they didn't believe in love more than death and hate.

I am Christian - non denominational. I have studied bible prophecy for over 35 years. While I don't know the day of Jesus's return to this earth, I am fairly confident that it will be no later than May 14, 2018. Which also means that the time of the rule of the Antichrist, which lasts 7 years, will begin no later than May 14, 2011.

I have considered all of the date combinations, centered around Jesus's parable of the fig tree in Matthew 24.
All of them, except one, have been eliminated because we have past those dates - and nothing has happened as you have pointed out.

The one viable time frame left is May 14, 1948 + 70 years (the max length of a bible based generation in our current age) = 2018 as a no later than time frame. btw, 1948, the year that Israel became a nation again - I was borne the same year, 1948.

The time of the Antichrist will last 7 years, with the second half of which all the great tribulation events occur. Initially, the incognito Antichrist will confirm a treaty involving the Jews for 7years, Daniel 9:26-27. This same seven years is found in Revelation 12:6 (1260 days for the first half) and Revelation 12:14 (for the second half).

Please note the sequence of events.

Rev 12:6 - 1260 days a precise measurement, representing the first half. Then,
Rev 12:7-9 - Satan is cast down to earth at the mid point of the seven years. Then,
Rev 12:14 - many of the Jews living in Israel flee into the wilderness, as Satan has been cast down to earth, and seeks to destroy them. The timeframe given in Rev 12:14, is a time, times, and a half times... which is the second half of the 7 years.
Rev 12:17 - there is a remanent of Jews who don't make it out of Jerusalem in time. There they will be persecuted, until Jesus comes to their rescue in Zechariah 14.

Okay, will the current peace settlement being pushed between Israel and the Palestinians, assuming that a settlement is reached, be the beginning of that seven years? I don't know, unless it has some specific conditions regarding a 7 year stipulation blatantly spelled out - I would say "no".

My reason is that there has to be the battle of Gog/Magog, Ezekiel 38-39, an invasion of Israel by Russia, Iran, and the Arab nations first. Which basically will destroy Islam.

The Jews, with all of their enemies destroyed, will believe that they have entered the messianic age, as the Antichrist will make his appearance right after Gog/Magog. The Jews will mistakenly believe that the incognito Antichrist, the deceiver, is their messiah. In Ezekiel 39 there is a 7 year timeframe for Israel burning the remains of the Gog/Magog war machinery for fuel. IMHO that 7 years is the same seven years of the Antichrist's rule.

Sincerely,

Doug L.

How many times is this website going to have to be posted? lol

http://www.abhota.info/end1.htm

As you can see, man has been predicting the end, since the beginning, just because this one is next in the list doesn't mean it's the right one.

..............................Do they get their (information) from Joseph Smith...........

How many years have Christians thought revelations would happen in their lifetime (1800 years?)
as for the Mayan calender, they didn't say it was the end of the world the calender just stopped ,when they made the calender they had to stop somewhere ( I know what your thinking why not round it off to 2000?... I haven't a clue to that one but I know if they thought that was the end of time I'm sure they would have mentioned something about it)
Lt_Ripley
Jesus was supposed to return during the lifetime of the disiples that were alive while he preached. they waited . he did not return. the whole idea of jesus returning was then given up by christians. only to be brought back hundreds of years later.

Jesus isn't coming back.( if indeed he existed) by 'his own words' he failed.

Many have claimed they knew and didn't . many more will claim they know and that date will come and go as well.

I cant help but wonder why god reviled the date of the end of times to the heathen Mayans and not the civilized and enlightened christians? wink2.gif Makes me wonder. huh.gif

ermm, what makes you think Mayans were not civilized? enlightened Christians? all they wanted to do was kill anything that they claimed to be "evil".
God? has his existence even been confirmed, he is more likely to be an alien. As far as we know "God" may be some teen-aged alien who has a big project to do. Honestly, we do not know everything, we aren't as special as we think we are and can easily be crushed by anything out there.

Heathen Mayans?? God "reviled"?? I'm sure you meant revealed, but your freudian slip is showing.

The Mayan culture was destroyed by the Spaniards...who were supposedly very religious... To suggest the Spaniards were civilized and "enlightened" is more than a stretch. They lusted for gold, and destroyed a people in their conquest to attain it.

Nooooo Billy, you're getting confused.
1999 wasn't the end of the world. That was when the nuclear storage facility on the Moon exploded, pushing it out of orbit and hence dooming the crew of Moonbase Alpha to weekly episodes of intergalactic adventure. (starring Martin Landau as Captain Keonig). I know this. I had the gorgi scale models of the Eagle Fighter and the Eagle Transporter. (see here )

2012 will INDEED be a time of strife and wailing. It is the London Olympics.
