What is Christian Domestic Discipline?


A domestic discipline marriage is one in which one partner in the marriage is given authority over the other and has the means to back the authority, usually by spanking.

A Christian Domestic Discipline marriage is one that is set up according to Biblical standards; that is, the husband is the authority in the household. The wife is submissive to her husband as is fit in the Lord and her husband loves her as himself. He has the ultimate authority in his household, but it is tempered with the knowledge that he must answer to God for his actions and decisions. He has the authority to spank his wife for punishment, but in real CDD marriages this is taken very seriously and usually happens only rarely. CDD is so much more than just spanking. It is the husband loving the wife enough to guide and teach her, and the wife loving the husband enough to follow his leadership. A Christian marriage embodies true romance and a Christian man a true hero.

Though this seems unusual in today's United States, this kind of marriage has been practiced throughout history and is still practiced in many parts of the world today.

Women in alot of christian literal interpretations of scripture are considered inferior or subserviant to the man.

I think that ideas of the Da Vinci Code, and the whole Mary Magdalan scandal touches on reasons for the down-playing of the role of women in society.

An interesting point here has to do with DNA, in the fact that the mother or the matrilineal path is much stronger percent wise in offspring......so in essence the female side of the family is of more purity then the paternal side.

If we are talking about bloodlines, or the destruction of, or oppression of, this could be a reason.

This Christian Domestic Discipline stuff could be nothing more then a residual effect from the age old reasoning in the christian faith to downplay the female role in life, as per the possible reason I listed above.

This looks like a hoax to me. As a long time web developer and internet marketer here's why.

1. Their domain name was privately registered. Most legitimate businesses and organizations don't have anything to hide and register a domain publically.

2. There's no way to contact them

3. There's no information period. No information about authors, contacts, churches, organizations etc...

4. Their store front is non-existant although they've been up and running for over a year according to their internet domain registration records.

This site has all the hallmarks of a spoof, much like Landover Baptist.

What a silly idea. A well disciplined wife should not require any spanking. Fortunately my wife is perfect (like most women) and therefore never requires discipline. The lack of spanking and discipline can, of course, become quite disappointing over a period of time, but hey I'm over it.

Regardless if the site is a hoax or not it is pointing to a very real message that exists within the Christian religion. It is this very message that i believe is responsible for the battle that women have endured in regards to their rights as human beings.....it is this message that has prevented society in the past from recognizing the equality between men and women.

Women were only first allowed to vote in America in 1920. I believe that there would not have been a need for a women's rights movement ever if they were thought of as equals , so the fact remains that that there was a need for the rights movement which clearly indicates that women were thought of as subserviant to man.

Now mind you there are verses that command a husband to love his wife and treat her respectively,but not before explaining that the wife is not equal in nature.

These may not seem that bad , but considering we are talking about a culture that was founded on the christian religion , and also that there are many many religious denominations that are biblical literalists......then one can see how the bible itself, indeed the christian religion had a very big role in the battle that women have had to fight over the centuries.

But there is nothing demonstrably false on this website - I take Lapse's word for it that even the recipes are genuine (Lapse, we've never seen this side of you before... and I don't mean domestic goddess, grrrr...).

If everything gets messed up then I am not to blame, sometimes I get the blame anyway cause I didn't tell her. If a man is all alone in the woods is he wrong? According to my last girlfriend the answer is yes otherwise he wouldn't be alone in the woods.

It's not a money issue. It's a matter of fullfilling some men's perverse sexual fantasies of domination & sadism & using biblical scripture to coerce naive women into this. Using faith as a tool to do this is really disgusting !

I don't feel one sex should dominate the other in a relationship.
Every partner has talents to contribute. The partner that is good at something can use his /her skills in that area of their marriage. For instance I control all family finances because I'm great with money. My husband wants it this way.My husband has great social skills and throws great parties. i make all the decisions on renovating, decorating our home because I'm good at this. He's mister technology,he keeps all computers running smoothly & upgrades them & all electrical work. I do the cooking, he does the sushi & grilling. He does the vacuuming. I do the laundry. I do all the nagging too....

Well ya you have to divided things up. When I was married my wife handled the money, so she held the purse strings. So if I wanted to do something I had to go the wife for the cash. That way I didn't spend money I wasn't suppose to like the electric bill. She also organize the house hold duties. We used to trade around the chores. She was better at car repairs than I was, so we both did the cars, until she started teach the kids about it.
Marriage is a partnership of equal partners. Almost like business sometimes. There is know room for phyical and mental abuse.
