Evolution itself is a fact though, not a theory. We have seen and documented evolution happening. Evolution is a fact. Past evolution is a theory.

don't worry everybody, i'm a christian i follow jesus and the bible. but i have to say these people are a disgrace. i took their quiz about where i would go when i die. because i broke some of the commandments (lieing and disobeying my parents, ect) they basicly said i'm a bad person and i'm going to hell........even though on the site they say everybody a sinner even them.......what??????

The idea that all people are sinners is a pretty basic Christian theme. The idea here is, we are all sinners, and we need to recognize that and work towards not being a sinner, while accepting Jesus as our savior so we can be freed from our sin via him.

At least, that's the basic idea in a very simplistic form.

Look, I think the site is a farce too. It really does border on the offensive (and it takes some pretty stupid crap to offend me). It's the presentation more than anything else. The ideas behind it are NOT all that out there. They are just making some points. Like, we are all sinners. Evolution and creationism both require some level of belief. No one is perfect, not even Christians. It's not bad to tell other people about your faith. That type of thing. What's funny is, how cool and hip they try to be. It reminds me of the Brady Bunch.

Thats because they are the - we are more superior than you kind of christians ...they will throw judgment on anyone including you and it makes them rather SMUG

i've always known how it feels, since i was a kid i've been told i was going to go to hell if i didn't change my ways (cut my hair, shave, stop listening to rap and rock music, stay away from my catholic family and so on). but i agree, their attatude is very smug. hahah kirk cameron, i use to watch his show "growing pains" when i was a kid.

As a young catholic I was told the same things lol...but regardless faith or not..its still not a very nice thing to tell anyone

And I dont think there's any mention of rock music in the bible, since it was compiled thousands years before Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley graced the world.

chuck berry and bo diddley are awesome, i love 50's rock. i do think jesus would have been a hippie if he was alive in the 60's and 70's and even today (i can't see him getting high though).

Actually, I think his ideals would be amazingly different than the average hippy. This would make a good thread in its own. I think Jesus (in any form, be it human or Gods son), was radical for his time, but compared to what the hippy culture was in the 60's, he would be seen as a staunch conservative. I think the hippies of the 60's would have considered him to be a "bummer" if they met him.

True, the conservatives viewed him as a rebel. That does not of course make him a hippy.
