Not really being sure is better than not believing at all, atleast you admit your not sure but your leaving yourself open to God instead of just closing the door all together. i think if you turn your doubts over to God you will find the answers you seek,Always a pleasure

yet maybe not believing at all makes no difference to God ?

Ofcourse it matters to God, Why would you think it wouldn't? I don't understand why God would not care that we believe or Not?Always a pleasure

Because maybe God is big enough and has a strong enough ego that he doesn't need us grovelling to him or even acknowledging him. Personally I think a god is more likely to be as indifferent to us as we are to ants.

that's just it . if God is perfect God would understand why we believe or not. and a perfect God isn't given to things like Ego and insecurity .
