Full Version: have you seen a miricle?

I started a topic about Gods healing powers and it quickly got shut down because I was taking a dim veiw of other peoples belief. Now I do apoligize for that to all, And I want to say that I only try and prove my belief with the conviction it deserves. I am not always right and don't claim to be , I am wrong sometimes and will admit it. So onward have you had a miricle in your life that has positivly changed you or your outlook? Or maybe even something your not proud of that brought on a miricle. I have had several miricles, as many of you have too, I would love to hear them, And the no proof required is not a sly remark to anyone just simply a no proof required topic, Believe what you will and leave the rest to your imagination, Always a pleasure.

My goodness yes.
After the 400th miracle in my life I had no recourse but to believe in God, things like a twig stopping my truck from going over a cliff Things like God Coming to my house and telling me what I share with you ,and there are the simple ones like holding my daughter in one hand then watching her blossem in to a young lady. Life it self is a miracle. here is one I remember and will never forget,

I was at a friends house and we were all watching a movie on the second floor.

my friend did'nt have a railing arround the stair case yet so he had the hole surrounded by chairs so no one would fall in. Mydaughter and his kids were playing ,she was this many(4fingers).

Anyway I saw her run then jump in to one of those chairs, it tipped backwards, I started running. The chair dumped her out backwardsin to the hole, I jumped through the hole at the deepest part and time slowed,I watched as me and her floated down to hit at bottom.I do believe it took about Five minuits in the air (seemed like forever) for us to hit, I could not get down fast eanuf. Then she bounced one time on her butt, time resumed and I caught her. Thank you Father! Come to find out 2 other kids had allready broken bones in the stairway hole. I came back the next day and put up a rail for my friend,

All miracles are preformed out of love, pure love ,either Fathers love for us or our love of another of our brothers or sisters, through Father. This is how Jesus performed all his Miracles, out of pure love, and with help from Father.

I define my miracles as good luck

I have been very,very fortunate-that's all I can say

Too many to tally up here

Sure, miracles do occur to me. Yet everytime when I talk about those miracles, someone would like to kill me. Hehe...

Coz I believe that I died and was raised back. (persecute me for saying so, please).

QUOTE
Environmentally, I was lying in bed all the times during the process and occationally i saw the doctors and nurses around. And I tried several times to sit up (for reasons) that I could feel the drop back of my body to the bed. Actually, I spent sometime to speculate the process. I dreamed perhaps 100000 times and they are nothing in common with my NDE. I've read through others' NDE recently and noticed that alot (if not most) are dream-like, unlike mine.

The first thing that bothers me thou is, on several occasions I was in an almost sit-up position, while it seemed that in reality I was trembling with struggles according to the nurses, and my body could at most be 20 degrees raised up, while I felt it's around 45-60 degrees (almost in a sit up position that is).

What's truly scary is what happened around 10 minutes after returning back, I saw the demon. So I screamed and yelled that the doctors and nurses came. Hospital's pastor was called, while I passed the visual tests and answered all the questions from the doctors correctly. At that moment, I really hoped that they could ask more difficult questions such as mathematical calculations.

I tried to punch and kick but no use. Now I noticed that I lost feelings about my own body and skins, more like a zombie or re-entering a corpse. So I told my doctor, "Like I said I had died, I cant feel my body and skins". He's silent while watching me touching my own hands, forehead, ears and so on.

The kind of fear was not just because of what I saw, which faded away later on, but the fear that this may last for a long long time, the kind of fear can make you surrender yourself. Anyway, the final decision in my mind was, "You can kill my body but God will save my soul". So I smiled at the demon and it showed an expresion of being confused.

And only at that time my blood pressure (or something like that) was measured, before that I was unmonitored by any epuipment because I was unexpected to die, unexpected by me and the doctors. Still I just knew that I was going to die during the NDE, I even knew that it all relies on the last injection, that my first sit up was for asking the doctor for that last injection, desperately.

It was confirmed later on that the last injection was crucial to my death or alive in killing the virus or being killed.

The second situp attempt was to look for my mobile phone (to phone my wife) desperately after knowing that I was going to die. The third attempt was when I saw my chain of spirits coming out of my body. The forth situp was being pulled up by an external force, and that's when my last moment came (I knew), with a "process" I dont know what it is, more like a casting of a spell on me, with the sound and the visual effect.

So after gathering all the reality checks on hand, I still believe that I had died and returned.

I saw a guy fall off of a 20 foot ladder at work the other day. Lucky for him he landed on a box of pillows.

This past summer I walked in front of our parked, engine-running truck and it skipped gear. Missed me by mere centimeters and slammed into my aunts house. No damage was done, thank goodness. Everyone tells me it was a miracle, I couldn't say either way.

I seen a man that had attended a friends church for some time healed from a breathing condition. The man was on oxygen and couldnt come off of it. That night, he was prayed for by a missionary, and when he came from off the ground, he could breath on his own. I remember the screams "I can breathe!" "I got air!". I checked back with my friend about a week and a half later to see if what was encountered was psychosomatic and sure enough, hes still off his oxygen to this date. That was a miracle indeed.

Yes I have. I've seen many, G-d performs miracles when he sees fit. I look in the mirror and thank him each day for the ones he did for me and others I know he's done for people I know.

When I entered the Vatican...I was a little surprised when I wasn't reduced to ash.

Buuuut, that was probably just because my god had your god in a headlock giving him a noogie.

I'm sure Bush choking on that pretzel in his early days in office was a miracle in the making. But then god must have become distracted by some sort of emergency.

I once had a miracle. I shall recall...

I was playing on stage in a very large hall. It was a Marine Hall.
The walls were big and black and the air was cold, as it was winter.
We were three songs into a ten-song set and after a rocky opener, the crowd were warming to us nicely.

Feeling the energy from the crowd and my fellow Bombs, I decided to attempt a 360 degree spin at an appropriate part of a song. I'd done this before and knew it looked cool.

As I began my leap, my hand caught my jacket and my Lucky pelctrum began to fall to the floor.

The stage was seven feet high.

I realised I had no other plectrums which would mean I'd have to continue with my hand which would equal blood and skin loss.

A feeling of fear washed over me.

Then...

Just as all was lost...

I saw something flying in from the rafters

It was swooping down towards me but I knew not to be scared

As it got within a meter I recognised it...

It was a baby Dragon

The baby Dragon flicked it's tongue against my falling plectrum which flew several feet above me before landing in the palm of my hand

I completed my spin and went on to have a rockin' gig

Afterwards - nobody had seen the baby Dragon but me

It was a miracle

yes...God has blessed me with miracles that i could not justify in other way....when something happens in you life after all other avenues have been taken with no results, you break down and pray, immediately the problem is resolved in a positive way, there is no other answer...this has happened more than once...had God not intervened in my personal life, more than once, i would have been dead a long time ago...even when i spent my time trying to justify these miracles by some worldly standard, i knew in my mind that it was not true...i knew that God had stepped in because the worldly standard had to be stretched so far out of line to justify the incident that even a hard core unbeliever had to question it...i was trying to be that unbeliever because i knew that if i was a believer that i would have to change my whole lfe style...i would have to go to church all the time, no going out with my sinner friends, couldn't do all the stuff i wanted to do, the fun stuff...but when i saw God working in my life on that level, i wondered what He would do if i met Him on His level...i have had some amazing things happen in my life since...God is an awesome God.

I am still unsure if I would consider it a miracle or a mis diagnosis, but when i was younger, I had a boyfriend named Adam who woke up one morning and couldn't walk straight. He ran into a wall trying to get to the bathroom, and was extremely dizzy. His left side was tingly, and as the day went on, you could actually see his eyes rolling around in his head as if he had just finished spinning in circles. A trip to the emergency room sent us home with an antibiotic and a diagnosis of a severe inner ear infection. After 2 days, he got worse, couldn't walk, could barely speak, was nauseous from the constant spinning, and couldn't feel or move his left side at all. Another trip to the ER, and he was immediately admitted, and within a few hours, a doctor came to read the results of all the testing.

He had a rather large tumor in his medulla oblongata, the portion of your brain that connects it to your spinal cord. I cannot remember exactly what name they gave it, but it was a malignant cancerous tumor, and because of it's location, there was no surgery possible. We were told he would go through radiation therapy, but that the chances of the tumor even reducing in size was low. It was obvious that the doctors believed Adam would die, within a very short time, and that his time left would be spent dizzy, miserable, and barely conscious. He was 19 years old.

His mother brought in several people from her church, and they did a 'laying of hands' on him. I was not familiar with this process, but was involved in it, because I wanted to do ANYTHING that might help him. They prayed and even though I was agnostic even then, I joined in with them.

Several days later, after spending about 7 days straight in the hospital with him, I had to leave to go to my job and take care of a few things. While I was there, I received a phone call from Adam's father. He told me to get back to the hospital, the doctor was making a special trip to explain something new they found. I raced back to the hospital, and the doctor arrived, and came into a room filled with people who loved Adam and were expecting some more horrible news.

Then the doctor proceeded to tell us that he had made a mistake. He said that after studying the MRI and other test results, he was now sure that it was not a tumor at all. He believed it was a blood clot, which had caused a stroke, which was something Adam could recover from. As everyone broke down in tears of joy, Adam said something about how he had felt himself being healed when the church members prayed over him, and I have never forgotten moment.

Happily, now after about 8 years, Adam is perfectly fine. He has absolutely no residual effects from his stroke, and even though we are no longer together, we stay in contact and he is happy and well. He calls it a miracle.

It might be. I just also know it really could have been a hasty diagnosis by a rushed and overworked ER doctor. I hate that I am so skeptical.

The biggest miracle i have seen, is still around and can be seen and tested by anyone. Its the holy Quran, This book is a proven miracle, there are no lies , no contradictions, its unique, and there is nothign like it. Muslims claim its from God, funnily enough the book claims it too, but it also ask you to test it, if it is. By checking for mistakes, human error as such, but nothing. Its also poses a challenge to the whole of the mankind and the universe and everythign within it, to come together and work together and try and bring a verse similar to that of the holy quran. This challenge still stands today, but at the sametime it asks you to do this, it turns around an follows it by saying, You will never do it. That some challenge posed by a man. tell of any man who dare write a book and then ask the readers to find a mistake, and the challenge them to write something as unique, in its literally style or language.

The living, and the miracle which will last till the day of judgment.

I have seen many healings, some are gradual and some are instant. Remember, God can do anything. When the Holy Spirit is in you, God is in you and when you pray for someone by laying hands on them, you are putting God in them. This is what heals them, this is also how you can receive the Holy Spirit, by someone laying hands on you after baptism.

Probably one of the strongest miracle I have personally seen and been involved in would be when I and my sister laid hands on one of my other sisters. She had broken her ankle and when it healed her foot and leg were shorter. We simply commanded it to grow out in Jesus name and it did. She was very happy to be able to wear the same size shoes again....ha ha...

Another miracle that was really strong was my mother died giving birth to one of my brothers. My dad prayed and asked God to give her back and she came back to life and lived for many years.

I've seen tornados flee when I commanded them to leave in the name of Jesus, that is really cool! Even hail, one time I rebuked it in Jesus name. The weather man was stunned that night on the news as to its sudden stop....ha ha...

However, I do have flops. As the power is God's and not mine. I tried to raise my cat from the dead....poor little thing got run over and ended up burying him anyways....har har.....hey a girl's gotta try you know!

These so called miracles in the name of jesus are simple tests by the one true god, of whom jesus was a messenger, (not son). He tests you, he even accpets prays of bad people, God gives to all, but when you pray for something to happen, and use one his creations name and not his, he will stil fulfil it for you, to see who you really thank, whether you through ignorance will still thanks jesus, a man, or really than God, who is one and should be worshipped alone.

You say, that the holy spirit, and some of god goes in to those poeple, when healed, i ask you if god is in them and you, then why do you still have human attributes and non of gods attributes. God you see is totally seperate of his creation, he would not lower himself to become creation or a part of it, he has power of all of it, this does not mean he would become a part of it. To me your miracles are test from god, to see who you really thank, him or a man named jesus or anyone else for that matter. You see even idolators have mircales, alleged miracles, statues crying, or weeping milk etc, hindu gods, does it mean, who ever name they use (krishna) is god too and helps them heal, again god test these pagan too, to see if they will use their heads and realise man cannot grant such things only god can, but some people see it but most dont see the test, they fail it and accept some thing of creation as god.

I believe my son recieved a miracle when he was about 18 months old. I was at a friends house doing some sewing fer her. My friend made me a cup of tea,it was black and the water was near boiling ,straight from the kettle. She had just put in on the table next to me and before I could move it back from the edge,my son grabbed the cup.The hot tea poured itself down his arm and chest. It was winter and he was wearing a cotton velour jumper which must have protected his skin to some extent. I quickly grabbed him and held him under running cold water. My friend who had recently returened from Lourdes grabbed a large bottle of Lourdes water and pured it over my sons arm and then laid hands on him. I then removed his jumper and there was not even a red mark on his skin. I really couldn't believe that there was not even a red mark from the heat on his very fair skin. I do believe that this was a miracle.

Yes, fullywired. This was my very first thought that entered my mind (great minds think alike wink2.gif ). I did go ahead and verify with my friend that goes there and the man had indeed been attending the church longer than my friend has and she continues to go to this church to this date. She said the man still goes there and is not on the oxygen tank at all. Im not sure how else to explain this event. I may call her and check yet another time as its been a few weeks, but the last time which was about a week after the event, he still was off the oxygen.

Edit: Also, this wasnt at a healing service (I believe that the majority, if not all healing services are fraudulent), but a regular wednesday night church service.

Probably, an islamic perspective is that, we are taught in our religion, that when children are often playing or in danger of being hurt, accidentally through play or something, that angels protect them. We are told for example, if a child falls down some stairs are survives with out a bruise, we thanks allah, because we know that his angels would have protected them.

Thanks very much Irish. Worthwhile reading.

A couple of years back I saw 'John Boy' on Oprah with excerpts of a tv programme about miracles, which I believe ran on Fox. One had photos of a dead baby who revived - amazing footage.

Does anyone know how to get to watch some of these? Very well done programme if the the excerpts were anything to go by.

Thats right gaurdian angels, they watch and protect children as god commands them. They too do messenger work etc as you mentioned above, the bible the quran, the source is the same. The same God, WE call him Allah, and there is a very good reason for it, and its unique.

Well for me it is still anecdotal evidence ,I would want to see is X-rays before and after this "wonderful " event and talk to his doctors and read about it in "Lancet "

and even then I would be sceptical

That is fine. My intentions arent to sway anyones beliefs. Just participating. I can understand someone being skeptical over believing someone else on the internet. I also understand that even the "miracle" itself could be false although from these things (in this event) that ive witnessed and the questions that ive had answered, it seems to be pretty authentic, but to each his own.
