Activision has phone number to register for new discs.

QUOTE
We recently became aware that some consumers have not been able to enjoy the full audio output in the Wii version of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. We are currently working with Nintendo and are planning to issue an improved audio experience in future versions of the game. We expect to have re-mastered discs available by early 2008 and we will be offering consumers replacement discs at no cost once they become available. Should you have any further inquiries, please contact Activision customer support at http://www.activision.com/support. Customers based in North America wanting to pre-register for a free replacement disc can call (866) 780-8286 and we will notify you once the replacement discs are available. We thank all of our customers for their support and patience.

^Well it's good to see Activision offering free replacements although it's still a fair wait for consumers who payed full price for the game and guitar. Also they have essentially confirmed future GH iterations will apear on the Wii. That however was really already confirmed by sales, with the Wii version hitting 1 million in the US alone and is fast closing on the 360 total of 1.4 million. I doubt it will catch the PS2 sales as that currently stands at 1.9 million in the US alone though.

The Wii sales were limited in part due to lower production for that version. Activision predicted low for the amount of Wii users that would be interested in GH3 and as a result there are less of that version available to be bought. Or so I've heard. There is definitely a shortage of the Wii version right now while other versions are easier to find. Only the Wii version has been going for twice or more retail price on Ebay. Still too early to say though how much it could sell if it were widely available.
