I was taking pictures of my house to show a friend using a 7.2 megapixel digital camera. When I uploaded to my computer, I saw a streak on my living room picture that oddly covered the span of 2 walls and didnt show up on anything but the walls. I found that rather wierd. I took another picture to see if I could duplicate it to no avail. It starts on the right wall, goes above the right picture and ends on the upper lefthand side of the couch. I cut out that portion to show you what it looks like closeup. You can see strokes in my wall from brushstokes, because the wall is painted in 3 colors. (mainly by the right picture) So for the pros out the is this a camera oddity? The cutout showing the wispy thing is almost 3 dimensional looking.

Is the top of the table in front of the sofa glass? It looks like its a reflection from something, which just shows up more on lighter surfaces.

No, that's just a cloth piece on top. Other than the glass in the pictures nothing shiny is close.

where those currtains are on the left of the pictue . im assuming thats a door . i think its a reflection from there .

The floors in the room are extremely reflective, I'm kind of envious too, they look awesome! But what I can see from the photo the glass in the door as well as the window are both covered leaving the floor as the next reflective surface. The most prominent feature (second photo) looks like where the camera's initial flash point was and the rest reflection or a bit of hair or fuzz.

Thats a glass item of some description reflected across the room and onto the far wall.

Did the person across the street from the door have their house trimmed with christmas lights?

If you look close enough at the door , you can see the reflection coming off the door lock or handle whatever that is that you can see on the door

The door to the left is curtained and also has miniblinds which were shut. I think maybe after looking at the other pictures, maybe the fireplace which was to my left as I snapped the picture, might have made the reflection. It would be my best guess. Btw, Thanks Mabon

it does look like something is reflecting off. and a kind message out to all of you, please don't go thinking everything time you see something weird in a picture it's a ghost or something like that. it is very rarely that something like that would happen. esp. in your home. just wanna make sure you guys don't wet your pants every time you print out a picture. Love ya!
