"The Ghost of Lockout is an indestructible character that appears in the map, apparently controlled by no one, and attacks players at random. The "ghost" sometimes takes the form of whatever the person's player model is, weapon, and color.

The attack the Ghost liked to use in the YouTube video was to use Plasma Grenades to stick in game players, all of the time successfully sticking them, and having a seemingly unlimited supply of them. Its patterns are not consistent; the Ghost will sometimes ignore players completely, and other times aggressively pursue players.

The ghost does not walk like most players due to the lag, and instead simply glides across the map. It glides up various ramps and jumps off of ledges. The "Ghost" is indestructible, and is impervious even to an assassination hit from behind (probably because he's looking straight at you, even though you don't see it like that.)

Most interestingly, the character does not have a gamertag, does not appear on the score screen, and does not have an apparent controller, also due to lag.

Supernatural Abilities include

invulnerable to all attacks.
Does not need to look up or down.
Glides across the map jumping from towers.
Can perform tricks and super jumps with ease.
All grenades auto-stick and are normally thrown whilst looking the opposite way.
Can teleport anywhere on the map.
ability to mimic movements.
Takes the shape of whoever it meets.
Seems to have a mind of its own.
Does not need to look in the player's direction to stick the player with grenades or shoot the player.
Can be docile or aggressive.
When killed by them it states "Killed by The Guardians".
It is not clear or known whether the ghost only appears on Xbox Live or in normal offline mode. Some reports indicate that it can appear offline, and on other maps.

So who thinks this is real?It could happen but the odds are slim to none,There are also numerous vids on youtube claiming that "This is liek the real ghost of lokcout lolz".But I found one that actully looks genuine.
Ghost of Lockout
Enigma wrapped in a puzzle
dude that was freaky kinda, Halo2 has so many glitches it does not suprise me. I think its just a gamer who joined and it did not register for the other players.
Daughter of the Nine Moons
most likely a modded game, but good find none the less
theghost
Man that was wierd.

Hahaha oh my small world.
That's Anti-Noob.
I remember talking to him and playing with him once around the time when he FIRST made that video and released it to HighImpactHalo which was at least two years ago now.

I forget how he did it though. It was either some extreme modding, or very clever video editing and splicing. I'm thinking it was a combo of all.

Halo2 *BELIVE*
I belive it,mainly because i was playing alone in Headlong --Halo2 Map--,and I was attempting superjumps when all of a sudden i got killed by a sniper bullet (I think it was a sniper bullet because of the smoke line that comes from it),I went searching around but never found out how it happened.I do not know if it was some sort of glitch or not,but i do know i was offline playing and nobody else was.I think it is the possibility that bungie just added in that sort of thing because you were playing for awhile and just wasting time doing nothing in peticular so they make it so you die from some sort of projectile\object\person.

--Halo2 *BELIVE*-- Out.

You can see that Underdogg's symbol next to his name is the target which appears on the supposed Ghost of Halo...

Also, I believe the sliding effect can be created by lagging yourself, some tips on how to do that on Youtube
DigitalDreamer
I've seen this a few times in #3 moo,So maybe it is just lag because their connection bar was like 2 or 3.
Moooooo
Seen the lag? yeah there are easy ways to lag yourself, for example running limewire in the background. There are loads of examples

The BR spread has happened to me MANY times and it is one of thee most extreme mehtods of useing lag to your advantage.
